Romance (1792)

This is a two-part manga that was printed with three other short stories together in one book. The tankoubon itself shares the title of this story, Kanshakudama no Yuutsu.

Story 1) Kanshakudama no Yuutsu: Kajika is a female ninja and her parents were murdered by the rival ninja family Hayato when she was a little girl. Now, she lives with her grandfather. She falls in love with her senpai named Fujisaki. But he thinks that Kajika is too male. And Kajika's childhood friend Yuga has a problem with Fujisaki-senpai! When Fujisaki wants to date Kajika, she discovers something that is really shocking and surprising for her...

Story 2) This Affair is for Real: Yuri wants her best friend Karin, a rich girl, to meet her pen friend because she sent him a photo of Karin. For a ordinary dessert (a cheesecake) Karin do that, and she has a date with Ryo in the aquarium, but nothing is like it should be - appearances are deceptive...

Story 3) The Romance in the Afternoon Rain: Minori falls in love with Takato-kun, a boy from an other school because one day he gave her his umbrella when it was raining. Since this day, Minori hopes, that there is every time rain because she wants to be with Takato under his umbrella. But in the middle school Takato got a go-by of a girl and there is a rumour, that he hates all girls since this day. What will Minori do and WHO was that girl...!?

Story 4: The Second Time in Love: This is Tanemura Arinas debut in the year 1995 or 1996. Mana loves the boyfriend of her bestfriend Yume. But the most popular boy at school, Nakamura Shigenobu, loves Mana and he doesn't give up. But Mana doesn't want to fell in love with someone else until she forget Nishikawa.kun, the boyfriend of Yume

These stories are told with the same bold, kinetic art style and brilliantly paced storytelling that Samura's Blade of the Immortal epic is famous for. The main offering, "Ohikkoshi," follows the turbulent paths of several twenty-something art students as they fall in love, fall in lust, play in rock bands, ride motorbikes, eat, sleep (together), and try to avoid making life decisions while drunk. This romantic comedy is a "Japanese art school confidential" packed with absurd humor, obscure death metal references, and some expertly placed, dramatic revelations. "Luncheon of Tears Diary" is a vibrant, genre-busting tale that also peppers its humor with sharp, dramatic moments. Natsumi Funabashi, a virgin, is an aspiring manga creator on a quest for love and a fulfilling career. Along the way, she has to cope with overzealous men, gang warfare, a mahjong addiction, and a lascivious manga editor. This collection is rounded off by Samura's hilarious "Kyoto Super Barhopping Journal: Bloodbath at Midorogaike," a rare, autobiographical travel piece.

Having burned enough bridges in Japan, Yuuji and Minato have moved their new family to a small dinosaur-crazy town in Canada. It's during his stint as a mover that Tadashi meets the lovely Kana. A talented and intelligent career women, and unexpectdly has sex with her! Moved by Kana's beauty and unsatisfied with where he is in life, Tadashi applies for a full-time job at the Izumo Sports Company. There's only one problem: Kana is his interviewer! As if that wasn't bad enough. Tadashi just can't stop thinking about her ever since the night they spent together. All Tadashi ever wanted in life was a beautiful girl and full-time job. Kou Kitamura is a fifth grader whose family runs a sporting goods store. This is in contrast to Aoba, who, despite being a year younger, is an adept pitcher and hitter. Wakaba is a classmate of Kou's, and she seems fully intent on marrying him when she grows up. All seems idyllic in their world, until tragedy strikes. The story then skips ahead to four years later, as Kou has continued the training he began four years ago, but has not played in a baseball game since. As he finally begins playing again, it remains to be seen whether or not he will live up to the expectations of those who know the true talent he has been hiding all this time.

Satoyama Katsuki and his best friend Kawakami Kyouta, both age 15, enrolls in Mizutani Boxing Gym to get close to their tomboyish crush, Mizutani Katsuki, whose father owns it. However, Satoyama soon finds out that she is distant from her father. Worse, it turns out that she hates boxing.

In a sparring match, everyone including Mizutani soon discovers Satoyama's hidden yet unpolished skill in boxing. Satoyama soon learns that Mizutani is really in love with boxing, but disdains it because its a man's sport of which she cannot join. Mizutani then takes it upon herself to be Satoyama's trainer/manager to reach the championship belt. Satoyama complies to be closer to his crush.

As the story progresses, we soon find out that Satoyama has a hidden past and lineage, one that would give him the necessary skill and talent to be a legendary oriental pro-boxing champion.

Raizo Fuwa is a 25-year-old salaryman living in a cramped home and working in a crowded office in Tokyo. His hopes for improved conditions are dashed when the new office building his company is supposed to move into is condemned as unsafe because the construction company has been cutting corners. Since the old building is already being demolished, they have no choice but to "temporarily" move the office into Fuwa's new flat.
