Manga Fans Eagerly Await a Dandadan Anime Adaptation

Dandadan, written by Yukinobu Tatsu, began serialization on the digital Shonen Jump+ platform in April 2021 and has become a popular series since its debut. The manga was listed as the number 10 most-read title in Shueisha’s MANGA Plus app, alongside popular projects like Dragon Ball Super, Oshi no Ko, Spy x Family, One Piece and more. The series has also received support from fans who want to see it adapted, as it was named in My Anime List’s fan-voted manga that should receive an anime poll.

The story follows the odd pairing of two high school students, Momo Ayase and Okarun. Ayase is a devout believer in the occult, whereas Okarun is a stout supporter of the existence of extraterrestrials. They disagree with the other’s beliefs and set out to prove their own views right, only to discover that aliens and Yokai both exist. This leads Momo and Okarun on a set of chaotic adventures full of bizarre creatures, action and awkward romance.

Dandadan is available to read on the Viz Media website with a Shonen Jump subscription.
