Benizakura (紅桜)

Benizakura, who is said to be the strongest dog in the world, is living in Uwajima with his owner Shin. In Benizakura's past, he was a great fighting dog who participated in battles held between other fighting dogs. He had a long battle with another dog named Tsunaarashi, but the winner remained undecided as time ran out. Benizakura would have liked to have a rematch between him and his opponent and waited patiently, but Tsunaarashi had already become blind. When Benizakura realized that, he went mad and refused to fight anymore—until he met Gin.
