Every Known Member Of Roger Pirates In One Piece

The Grand Line has been home to many strong pirate crews, but none are more legendary than the Roger Pirates. The former King of the Pirates, Gol D. Roger, led the group, and they are the first crew to successfully conquer Grand Line. Although fans can see their impact throughout One Piece, some the Roger Pirates’ members are still a mystery.

Fans have yet to see much of Gol D. Roger’s extended crew, but there is no doubt that future flashbacks will shed more light on their various personalities and backstories. As long as former crew members like Shanks, Buggy the Clown, Silvers Rayleigh, and Crocus are still alive, there is hope that their former allies will have their chance to shine.

Updated on May 17 2023 by Kennedy King: The final saga of One Piece has officially commenced, ushering the Straw Hat Pirates into the most dangerous leg of their epic journey. As they inch closer to the final island on the Grand Line, their connection to the Roger Pirates grows stronger. This will slowly provide more insight to the dynamic at play aboard Gol D. Roger’s iconic ship, the Oro Jackson.

28 Gol D. Roger

Gol D. Roger was the Roger Pirates captain and arguably the strongest man to exist in One Piece. With overwhelming Conqueror’s Haki, the Will of D, and a slew of powerful allies, nothing could stop Gol D. Roger from achieving his goals.

Roger inspired a generation of young pirates, and as fans could see with Monkey D. Luffy and his fellow Supernovas, Roger’s impact is still felt in the modern day. Regardless of how One Piece ends, the King of the Pirates will always be one of the series’ most important and beloved figures.

27 Silvers Rayleigh

Silvers Rayleigh is a famous pirate whose popularity was only dwarfed by his captain, Gol D. Roger. The “Dark King” functioned as the First Mate of the Roger Pirates and apparently helped govern the Roger Pirates from the shadow of his captain.

Silvers is easily one of the most powerful characters in One Piece, which fans can see with his skilled use of all three forms of Haki. Despite his old age, Rayleigh is still capable of going toe-to-toe against Admiral Kizaru, who clearly said that he lacked the power to capture Rayleigh alive.

26 Shanks

Although he is now an all-powerful Emperor of the Sea, Shanks was once a powerless brat aboard the Oro Jackson. Before the Roger Pirates disbanded, Shanks acted as an apprentice on the ship. During multiple flashbacks, he is with his childhood companion, Buggy the Clown.

After Gol D. Roger’s death, Shanks founded the Red Hair Pirates. He went on to clash with Dracule Mihawk in numerous legendary duels, rapidly gaining fame until he eventually earned his status as a potential candidate to claim the title of King of the Pirates.

25 Buggy The Clown

Buggy the Clown first appeared during the East Blue Saga, but his influence extends far beyond the confines of the relatively calm sea. The former Warlord once served as part of the Roger Pirates, joining his rival Shanks as an apprentice who sailed across the majority of the Grand Line.

During his time aboard the Oro Jackson, Buggy the Clown accidentally consumed the Chop-Chop Fruit and earned his strange powers in the process. While his future remains unclear, Buggy’s history as a pirate is as impressive as almost any character in One Piece.

24 Crocus

Crocus is the second Roger Pirate member the Straw Hats meet during their journey. He spends most of his life as a lighthouse keeper, but he joined the Roger Pirates as a doctor for three years as they traveled across the Grand Line.

According to Silvers Rayleigh, Crocus is a skilled doctor. He was the only medical professional capable of stabilizing Gol D. Roger’s worsening condition, allowing the legendary pirate to survive long enough to conquer the Grand Line. After his captain’s death, Crocus returned to Twin Cape and began to look after Laboon.

23 Scopper Gaban

Out of all the Roger Pirates, Scopper Gaban is arguably the one with the greatest potential. One Piece hasn’t revealed many details about his character, but he appears in the majority of flashbacks that feature Gol D. Roger’s crew.

Scopper Gaban is present during the Edd War when Roger squares off against Golden Lion Shiki, and in a separate scene, Scopper Gaban prepares to take on Kozuki Oden. If the Roger Pirates appear in future flashbacks, Scopper Gaban will likely receive his time in the spotlight.

22 Nekomamushi

Nekomamushi is one of the two leaders of the Mink Tribe and is often referred to as “Ruler of the Night.” He is a very powerful character who can fight toe-to-toe with Jack, one of Kaido’s strongest subordinates. Nekomamushi doesn’t have a Devil Fruit, but his mastery of Haki allows him to fight against very impressive opponents.

As a Mink, Nekomamushi can naturally use Electro. Nekomamushi also has a Sulong mode, but One Piece hasn’t revealed it yet. Interestingly, Nekomamushi was originally on Whitebeard’s crew, but after encountering the Roger Pirates at a later date, he joined their ranks.

21 Inuarashi

Every Known Member Of Roger Pirates In <a href=One Piece_7″ class=”lazyload” data-src=”https://static.animeranku.com/i/images/news/2023/5/19/every-known-member-of-roger-pirates-in-one-piece_7.png”/>

Inuarashi is the other ruler of Mokomo Dukedom alongside Nekomamushi. Inuarashi is known as “Ruler of the Day” because he looks after the kingdom during the day. Just like his feline compatriot, Inuarashi is a very powerful member of the Mink Tribe. He squares off against Jack, which instantly establishes him as an intimidating opponent.

Like all Minks, Inuarashi has access to Sulong, but unfortunately, he can only use it when the conditions are right. As is the case with Nekomamushi, Inuarashi has served in two of the strongest pirate crews in history. He briefly accompanied Whitebeard along the Grand Line before eventually becoming part of the Roger Pirates.

20 Kozuki Oden

Kozuki Oden was the daimyo of Kuri when he was still alive, and most people in Wano respected him. For some time, he served as a division commander of the Whitebeard Pirates, but eventually, he joined Gol D. Roger and traveled all the way to Laugh Tale.

Oden is one of the greatest swordsmen in One Piece history, and he was even able to leave a scar on the nigh-invincible Kaido. Before his death, he wielded two high-grade swords. One of which, Enma, ultimately finds its way into the hands of Roronoa Zoro.

19 Seagull Guns Nozdon

Many pirate crews include a mix of various races, but for the most part, the Roger Pirates mainly consists of humans. Thankfully, Seagull Guns Nozdon adds a bit of verticality to the crew’s lineup, regardless of whether he actually stems from giant lineage.

Seagull Guns Nozdon towers over the rest of his crewmates, and since he can block Jozu of the Whitebeard Pirates’ attack, it’s clear his massive muscles aren’t just for show. Though his personality remains a bit of a mystery, Nozdon obviously played a major role in combat for the Roger Pirates.

18 Sunbell

Every Known Member Of Roger Pirates In <a href=One Piece_10″ class=”lazyload” data-src=”https://static.animeranku.com/i/images/news/2023/5/19/every-known-member-of-roger-pirates-in-one-piece_10.png”/>

Fish-men play a rather large role in the world of One Piece, so it should come as no surprise that a member of the race accompanied Gol D. Roger along his travels. Sunbell is a large, trident-wielding pirate who appears in several different chapters throughout One Piece.

Although Sunbell is mysterious, the One Piece anime shows him squaring off against Vista of the Whitebeard Pirates — an opponent who was briefly able to hold his own against Dracule Mihawk. Given this feat, it’s easy to see why he was recruited to the Roger Pirates.

17 Taro

Every Known Member Of Roger Pirates In <a href=One Piece_11″ class=”lazyload” data-src=”https://static.animeranku.com/i/images/news/2023/5/19/every-known-member-of-roger-pirates-in-one-piece_11.png”/>

While only a few of the Roger Pirates have played a significant role in One Piece, there are several others who have made brief appearances. One such individual is Taro, a pirate who may have played the lookout for Gol D. Roger and his crew.

When the Roger Pirates take Kozuki Oden back to his home in Wano Country, Taro uses his binoculars to scout out the coastline. Although this isn’t much to go off of, it does provide a bit of insight into the operations of the most legendary pirate crew in One Piece history.

16 Doringo

Every Known Member Of Roger Pirates In <a href=One Piece_12″ class=”lazyload” data-src=”https://static.animeranku.com/i/images/news/2023/5/19/every-known-member-of-roger-pirates-in-one-piece_12.png”/>

The Roger Pirates were a significantly larger group than the Straw Hat Pirates, and as a result, there are several underutilized characters within their ranks. One such character is Doringo, a young man with batlike wings who accompanied Gol D. Roger throughout many of his adventures

Although Doringo’s wings are part of his jacket, they still give him one of the most memorable appearances in the Roger Pirates. His abilities are mostly a mystery, but as indicated by the two swords that he carries, he is likely skilled in the art of swordsmanship.

15 Petermoo

Every Known Member Of Roger Pirates In <a href=One Piece_13″ class=”lazyload” data-src=”https://static.animeranku.com/i/images/news/2023/5/19/every-known-member-of-roger-pirates-in-one-piece_13.png”/>

In One Piece, firearms play a relatively minor role. Instead, most of the series’ strongest characters wield Devil Fruits, Haki, or bladed weapons. However, individuals like Petermoo of the Roger Pirates have proven that guns and rifles can be useful against even the strongest opponents.

Petermoo is a short, egg-shaped pirate who bears a strong resemblance to the nobility of 18th-century Europe, and in combat, he wields a long barrel rifle. His exploits, along with those of characters like Benn Beckman, are evidence that some fighters in One Piece could turn their firearms into much stronger weapons.

14 Millet Pine

Every Known Member Of Roger Pirates In <a href=One Piece_14″ class=”lazyload” data-src=”https://static.animeranku.com/i/images/news/2023/5/19/every-known-member-of-roger-pirates-in-one-piece_14.png”/>

Although many members of the Roger Pirates can be intimidating at first glance, Millet Pine is one of the least imposing pirates on the crew. Millet Pine is very short compared to most of his crewmates — a fairly comedic trait, given his Viking-like appearance.

Millet Pine generally plays a background role during his time on-screen, but it’s clear that he accompanied Gol D. Roger for quite some time before the legendary pirate’s death. His current status is unknown, so hopefully, he will make an appearance during One Piece‘s final saga.

13 Ganryu

Every Known Member Of Roger Pirates In <a href=One Piece_15″ class=”lazyload” data-src=”https://static.animeranku.com/i/images/news/2023/5/19/every-known-member-of-roger-pirates-in-one-piece_15.png”/>

Not to be confused with the Spade Pirate member of the same name, Ganryu is one of few pirates to sail alongside Gol D. Roger to the final island in the Grand Line. The character doesn’t play much of a role in One Piece, but given his interactions, it’s likely that he was a key member of the crew.

When Kozuki Oden joins the Roger Pirates, other members initially give him the cold shoulder. However, they eventually come to embrace the swordsman, and when he is feeling uncomfortable during their pursuit of the Road Poneglyph on Zou, Ganryu even reaches out to check on his condition. This small action speaks to Ganryu’s perceptiveness, as well as his crew’s willingness to embrace an outsider.

12 CB Gallant

Every Known Member Of Roger Pirates In <a href=One Piece_16″ class=”lazyload” data-src=”https://static.animeranku.com/i/images/news/2023/5/19/every-known-member-of-roger-pirates-in-one-piece_16.png”/>

Fans don’t know much about CB Gallant’s origins, but it’s clear that the hulking, sword-wielding member of the Roger Pirates accompanied Gol D. Roger during much of his journey across the Grand Line. Gallant is present during the Roger Pirates’ clash with the Whitebeard Pirates, as well as numerous other adventures in locations like Fish-Man Island, Zou, and Laugh Tale.

Although CB Gallant’s fighting style remains a mystery, the massive blade strapped to his back suggets that he is a skilled swordsman. The weapon’s size and hilt are reminiscent of Dracule Mihawk’s legendary sword, Yoru, suggesting that Gallant may be more powerful than his low profile suggests.

11 Donquino

Every Known Member Of Roger Pirates In <a href=One Piece_17″ class=”lazyload” data-src=”https://static.animeranku.com/i/images/news/2023/5/19/every-known-member-of-roger-pirates-in-one-piece_17.png”/>

Gol D. Roger and his companions are the most infamous outlaws in One Piece history, but despite their negative reputation, the Roger Pirates were actually full of kind-hearted individuals. One such character is Donquino, a jovial, pipe-smoking member of the crew.

Throughout numerous flashbacks, Donquino demonstrates that he is a sentimental character. He participates in a gift exchange with the Whitebeard Pirates, sobs when Gol D. Roger disbands the Roger Pirates, and expresses deep sorrow upon Kozuki Oden’s return to Wano.

10 Moon Isaac Jr.

Every Known Member Of Roger Pirates In <a href=One Piece_18″ class=”lazyload” data-src=”https://static.animeranku.com/i/images/news/2023/5/19/every-known-member-of-roger-pirates-in-one-piece_18.png”/>

The Roger Pirates were chock-full of swordsmen, many of whom were legendary fighters in their own right. However, others like Moon Isaac Jr. were far less notorious. The character’s suffix points to his father figure, but as of the Wano Country arc, no such individual has appeared in One Piece.

Interestingly, Moon Isaac Jr. appears to have a distinct aversion to compliments. When Gol D. Roger praises his crew, Moon Isaac Jr. becomes visibly flustered. A few members of the Straw Hat Pirates also share this trait.

9 Mr. Momora

Every Known Member Of Roger Pirates In <a href=One Piece_19″ class=”lazyload” data-src=”https://static.animeranku.com/i/images/news/2023/5/19/every-known-member-of-roger-pirates-in-one-piece_19.png”/>

One Piece contains a huge number of islands and characters, and luckily for Mr. Momora of the Roger Pirates, he was able to accompany Gol D. Roger to many of the Grand Line’s most iconic locations. The pink-haired swordsman is present in the golden ruins of Skypiea, the undersea wonderland of Fish-Man Island, and the mysterious and enigmatic Laugh Tale, making him one of the most well-traveled pirates of all time.

Like many of his fellow Roger Pirates, Mr. Momora seems kind-hearted and quick to laugh. In almost every scene that he appears in, Mr. Momora sports a smile on his face, living up to the example set by his inspirational captain.
