When Will Ayumu Make His Move official website unveiled the preview images for episode 10. Ayumu visits Urushi’s home and meets her father for the first time. Ayumu then challenged Urushi’s dad to a shogi match at Urushi’s favorite okonomiyaki restaurant. Meanwhile, some of the preview images feature Maki continuing to tease Urushi and we get Rin dreaming about food.
Episode 10 of When Will Ayumu Make His Move is scheduled to air on September 9 in Japan and will be available on HiDive and Bilibili overseas. The anime is adapted from the manga by the author of Teasing Master Takagi-san and In the Heart of Kunoichi Tsubaki, Soichiro Yamamoto. Studio Silver Link is producing the series, with Mirai Minato as the director. Other staff includes Hitomi Mieno as a scriptwriter, Kazuya Hirata as the character designer, and Shun Narita as the music composer.

Bilibili describes the plot of the series as:
Ayumu just fell in love at first sight with Urushi and joined the illegitimate Shogi Club! But Ayumu has vowed not to confess his feelings until he can best Urushi, and he has a long wAyumu Tanaka, a first-year high school student, and Urushi Yaotome, a second-year student, are members of the shogi club. Ayumu vows to confess his feelings to Urushi, his senpai after he manages to defeat her in a game of shogi, but he is a beginner at the game and Urushi always beats him. Meanwhile, Urushi keeps trying to get Ayumu to admit that he likes her, but Ayumu never allows his poker face to slip.
