Trigun STAMPEDE Sequel Title Revealed

The title of the upcoming sequel to the Trigun reboot anime that aired in Winter 2023 has been announced. The upcoming sequel to Trigun STAMPEDE; titled, “Trigun STARGAZE” was announced at the series’ panel at Anime Expo 2024 on Friday.

Series creator, Yasuhiro Nightow, revealed a brand-new illustration, along with some character visuals of Vash The Stampede; Millions Knives and Nicholas D. Wolfwood. Here’s what we know about the upcoming second-season of Studio Orange’s Trigun STAMPEDE.

The Trigun reboot anime produced by Orange aired 25 years after the original series, and streamed on Crunchyroll as it aired in Winter 2023. The series ran for 13 episodes from January to March that year, and combined various elements seen in the original Trigun with those more aligned with the author’s vision. It served as a prequel to the major events seen in the 1998 anime, and after the final episode aired, a sequel was announced. Now we know that the second season is Trigun STARGAZE, but no release information is available yet. Crunchyroll has previously announced that they will stream the anime when it airs.




Trigun STAMPEDE is an adaptation of Yasuhiro Nightow’s classic sci-fi manga, which ran for 3 volumes in Tokuma Shoten’s Monthly Shonen Captain magazine from March 1995 to December 1996; when the magazine ceased publication. It was followed by Trigun Maximum in Shōnen Gahosha Young King OURs seinen magazine from October 1997, republishing the original in two volumes and collecting Maximum into 14 volumes. The 2023 series is directed by Kenji Mutō (episode director, Land of the Lustrous) at Studio Orange, with updated character designs by Kōji Tajima (character design, GANTZ:O). The story of Trigun follows the journalist Meryl Stryfe and her superior Roberto DeNiro as they investigate why, Vash The Stampede, a notorious outlaw, has a massive bounty on his head despite being a pacifist. Their investigation inadvertently leads them to Vash’s sinister twin brother, Millions Knives. No release date for Trigun STARGAZE has been released yet.
