With Scream 7 still a long way away and no official release date or cast details, fans have a lot of time to think about the movie’s storylines and characters. Fans Predict How Scream 7 Will Stand Out From Previous Movies
As fans wonder if Scream will have more sequels after the seventh movie hits theaters, they’re thinking about the plot of Scream 7. Redditor @Movielover718thinks Scream 7 could be a more mature movie aimed at older audiences. Since the movie will bring Sidney Prescott back, this is definitely possible. The fan wrote:
“I feel like it might be a mixture of Scream 3&4. I just hope most of the movie is not in a house or ends in a house I’m tired of the same thing… the last 2 movies was very much catered to younger generation and this one might be an adult scream movie like Scream 3.”
It’s possible Scream 7 won’t have any teenager characters since, of course, Sidney is an adult now and the rest of the cast hasn’t been confirmed. If that is the case, then Scream 7 will have a different feel and tone. It’s possible Scream 7 will be even gorier than the middle and the ending of Scream 6, which features Ghostface in NYC with a gun and has many unnerving moments.While some fans don’t want to see Scream 7 focus on Sidney at home with her family, Redditor @crimson_scorpio thinks it would be fun if Scream 7 was a home invasion film. This is always an exciting genre and there are many great examples, from the 2023 thriller Knock Knock to earlier releases. While previous Scream movies have had scenes in houses, most famously Randy Meeks’s (Jamie Kennedy) home in the original 1996 movie, it would feel different to mostly film in one location. While fans aren’t certain they want Scream 7 to be about Sidney Prescott’s family, Scream 7 fans agree on one thing: they want the movie to stand out from the rest. Although audiences still look forward to the next installment even though the six previous films have followed a similar pattern, it’s definitely time for the franchise to branch out more.

Although of course no one can be sure what Scream 7 will really be about until they’re sitting in the movie theater, fans won’t be disappointed if they get a story that feels distinct from the rest of the franchise.
