The episode 1 preview video for Ranking of Kings: Treasure Chest of Courage has been released ahead of its April 13 premiere. The anime is a TV side story that will air on Fuji TV's Noitamina block. Watch the preview for Episode 1:
The episode appears to be divided into two smaller stories. The episode's crew includes screenwriter Tomomi Kawaguchi and storyboard/direction Makoto Fuchigami. Osamu Murata will direct the first installment, "Kage's Errand," which is described as follows:
Bojji and Kage were preparing a meal one morning during their training in the underworld when Despa's screams echoed throughout the mansion. Bojji and his friend rushed to the house, only to find Despa wrapped in a quilt...
The second one, "The Prince and the Money," whose plot is as follows: Bojji and Kage are instructed by Despa to go work to pay for their social studies, will have Ayaka Ofusa as its animation director. They browse job sites and go to different shops, but nothing seems to be successful.
The new Ranking of Kings anime was animated by WIT Studio once again. With Minami Hinata playing Boji and Ayumu Murase as Kage, the cast members are reprising their roles from the first season. The anime's core cast consists of:
