Overlord Season 4‘s non-credit opening video reached 1 million views in two days after the anime posted it on July 13. Masayoshi Oishi and [email protected]’s unit music group OxT, known with their song “Clattanoia” from the Overlord franchise, is performing the opening theme song “HOLLOW HUNGER” for the fourth season. The song’s single CD release is scheduled for July 27, 2022.

When the YouTube post surpassed half a million views, the singer Masayoshi Oishi expressed his excitement about the opening movie by describing it as “so cool!” in his tweet: “It looks like [the non-credit opening video] has already crossed 500,000 views! The OP’s video is so cool!

Kugane Maruyama writes the story of the Overlord light novel series with art by so-bin. The first volume came out in July 2012, the newest volume, Volume 15 was released on June 30, 2022, and the next volume, Volume 16’s release is scheduled for July 29 in Japan. Studio Madhouse animated the adaptation and is producing Overlord Season 4 under Naoyuki Ito’s direction. The franchise’s short anime series Ple Ple Pleiades 4 directed by Minoru Ashina is also airing.
