One Piece is currently at the very end of the Egghead Island Arc, and this story arc has been extremely exciting over the course of the last few months. This arc has delivered quite a lot of exciting clashes to the fans throughout its run. Right now, Egghead is in its very final phase, which simply means that it is not going to last that long. However, before this arc concludes, fans will most definitely get to see some exciting clashes here and there.
One of the most interesting clashes that fans got to see recently on Egghead Island is Zoro versus V. Nusjuro, who fans not to be one of the members of the Five Elders. This is a much-awaited clash that fans will get to see extensively at some point later down the line, but for now, a very interesting preview has already been given to them.
Zoro Protects The Ship Of The Giants
Zoro Jumped In To Protect The Sunny From Nusjuro
In One Piece chapter 1117, fans hoped that their story would focus on Zoro. At this point, it was almost a given that the Straw Hat Pirates would descend from the Labophase. At the same time, fans also know that there is the threat of the Elders who also want to get down from the Labophase to the Fabriophase and take down the Iron Giant. Meanwhile, there was also the Straw Hat pirate group trying to escape from Egghead. The Elders want to stop them, all the while attempting to stop Vegapunk’s broadcast. The Elders are also doing their best to deal with all problems at once.
As seen in One Piece chapter 1117, Nusjuro tried his very best to destroy the ship of the Straw Hat Pirates. This would have essentially eliminated the chances of Straw Hat Pirates’ escape, and potentially even killed some members. They would have had no vessel to board and Luffy’s group would’ve been forced to stay back too. Just one attack from Nusjuro would have started an all-out war do-or-die war on Egghead. However, Zoro intercepted this attack in the nick of time and saved his fellow pirates. Thanks to Jinbe’s throw, Zoro’s power was significantly boosted, as was his speed.
It was because of these two that Nusjuro was stopped, and he then turned his attention to them. Thankfully, Zoro was able to save the group. Fans have been waiting for Zoro versus Nusjuro for quite some time, and a glimpse of this clash has finally been given to them here. Zoro attacked with a powerful Rashomon, and it was quite clear to see that this did no damage to him. Meanwhile, Zoro, who was already tired at this point, clearly recognizes that Nusjuro is otherworldly. He isn’t a normal human and he cannot be defeated using normal means either. Despite Zoro utilizing one of his best moves, he was not able to graze Nusjuro and this is certainly very intriguing.
Zoro Vs Nusjuro Begins
Zoro Vs Nusjuro Is Only Just Getting Started
Zoro and Nusjuro began their clash in One Piece chapter 1117. It is clear to the fans that Nusjuro took Zoro seriously in this chapter, and he even commented on his sword, the Sandai Kitetsu. This is simply down to the fact that Nusjuro himself wields the Kitetsu blade, only in his case, he has access to the strongest of them all, the Shodai Kitetsu. This blade is one of the Supreme Grade Swords, and quite easily a weapon that can essentially cut through anything.
I’m not taking a detour. That monster is heading right for you. There’s something special about his presence!!
For Zoro, Nusjuro is an enemy that he cannot defeat at this point in time. However, he is one that he must clash with right now, especially if it is to ensure the safety of those around him. That said, Zoro cannot stay on the island for long, and it will likely be something like him defending the rear of the ship as well as he can from attacks from the Elder. Clearly, a head-on attack was ineffective against Nusjuro. That said, his attack was also dealt with by Zoro very well, which means that, at the very least, he respects Zoro’s skill.
That said, right now is not the time for these individuals to clash, and fans will most definitely see more of them later down the line in the story. The goal right now is to escape from Egghead.
Will Zoro Vs Nusjuro Be An All-Out Battle?
Zoro Vs Nusjuro Will Likely End Very Soon In The Manga
Quite clearly, Zoro versus Nusjuro will not be an all-out battle. This is simply down to the fact that Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates simply want to escape from Egghead. In fact, Zoro’s previous battle, which was against Lucci, was one that he actually could not afford. Him wasting quite a lot of time there essentially put the Straw Hat Pirates in a very difficult situation. Now, Zoro cannot offer to waste any more time with Nusjuro, and instead, he will have to shift his strategy to blocking his attacks, if he does launch any, and protecting the ship while trying to maintain an escape route. At the same time, fans will have to also keep in mind that Zoro doesn’t have the strength necessary to take on Nusjuro anyway.
Bio response detected!! There are too many obnoxious bio responses! – Nusjuro before slicing the Labophase in half.
Zoro is already exhausted from his fight against Lucci. Right now, he absolutely cannot defeat Nusjuro. In fact, even if Zoro was at full strength, he would not have been able to defeat Nusjuro anyway. Not only does he not have enough strength to take him down, but he also doesn’t have the required tools to get through his immortality. It will be interesting to see how Zoro handles Nusjuro later down the line, but for now, fans can relish these few clashes that they get here.
While Zoro versus Nusjuro might not go down in its entirety here, fans will most definitely get to see this clash later down the line in One Piece. This is a battle that many fans have been waiting to see for years, and it is one that Oda will absolutely deliver upon when One Piece goes deeper into the final saga. This is something that fans could potentially see in the Great War, when Luffy takes down Imu, and at that point, Zoro will most likely be fighting against Saint Nusjuro.
Until then, fans will simply have to keep in mind that Zoro will not be engaging in an extended battle with him. In the upcoming few chapters of One Piece, fans will get to see Zoro and Jinbe escaping from Egghead safely. The rear of the ship will most likely be guarded by them, and at the same time, one should not forget that the Iron Giant is on the island as well. Even though the Giant was struck down by the other Elders in the previous chapter, it is not done just yet. It will most likely get back up and try its very best to protect the Straw Hat Pirates and the others from being harmed. Essentially, the Giant could be a sacrifice here as it would allow them to escape from the grasp of the Government and, at the same time, give Oda a way to conclude this arc successfully.
One Piece is available to read via Viz Media. The series can be read by the fans officially and for free on the Shonen Jump and the Manga Plus app. The release date for the next chapter of One Piece, One Piece 1118, is set to be June 23, 2024.
