One Piece Volume 107 is on the horizon, and the SBS 107 spoilers have been leaked to the online community. Among other things, this SBS has Oda giving insight into the marine admiral’s personalities in his answer to a fans’ question on what the marine admirals’ careers would be in our world. The One Piece SBS is the monthly Q&A feature where Oda interacts with his fans through their submissions and though most questions are gag questions to which Oda responds with jokes and rough sketches, he has also been known to reveal important information in his answers such as Zoro’s family tree And Gol D. Roger’s full crew.
In the One Piece world the marine admirals Akainu, Kizaru, Aokiji, Fujitora, and Ryokugyū, are known for their commanding presence and formidable abilities. Nonetheless, their skill sets are very combat oriented in nature, so it wasn’t obvious how these qualities could translate in the real world. As seen in the leak that follows, though Oda’s answer remained coherent with the characters’ personalities in the canon story it likely wasn’t what most fans imagined.
Eiichiro Oda answered the question with a simple answer in which he explains that he envisions all five of them as the radio hosts of “All Night Nippon of The Three Admirals”, a reference to a popular Japanese radio program. As the One Piece SBSs are known for Oda’s playful and imaginative answers, fans weren’t surprised at the response and found it in line with the established style. This reveal certainly falls into the more humorous section of the SBS, however it makes sense considering the admiral’s character design and behavior.

The marine admirals are charismatic figures with a strong sense of justice, all in possession of remarkable vocal prowess and an impressive stage presence. With these attributes in mind, it isn’t unlikely for them to become radio hosts who utilize their skills to disseminate their worldview and entertain people simultaneously.
The One Piece Reddit community is enjoying itself discussing what kind of talk show hosts they would be and have come to many different conclusions, such as Kizaru’s likeliness to be discussing trivial events in a monotone voice and the possibility of a Fujitora “Ryukyugou Experience” show in which he frequently gets lost in his thoughts discussing philosophy. This reaction wasn’t unsurprising as many in the One Piece fandom are known to appreciate Oda’s frequent gags, though those looking for more relevant content were also satisfied by the reveal of Bonney’s devil fruit name and SWORD member Hibari’s backstory.
Though the marine admiral’s career reveal in SBS 107 is less related to the canon material than others, it is a whimsical reimagination that is offering the fandom a humorous perspective on some of the strongest fighters in the story. Oda’s unique take not only serves as a testament to his creativity but also provides a connection between the One Piece world and our own, reminding fans how versatile and relatable characters can be when they transcend the boundaries of their fictional realms.
