The One Piece anime is on a roll, and if it continues down this path, it is bound to scoop up some awards toward the end of the year. Episode 1112 was yet another masterpiece, highlighting how much the anime has improved. The main attraction of the episode was the fight between Shanks and Eustass Kid. The Supernova had tried to fight Shanks during the time-skip, but things went horribly wrong for him, and he ended up losing his left arm. This was a crushing defeat for Kid, but that didn’t stop him from fighting in Wano.
Kid got another chance to fight Shanks in One Piece Episode 1112. From his expression, it was obvious that he was rearing to have a go at his adversary. As Kid’s ship edged closer to Elbaf, Shanks’ allies began to surround him. The young pirate was not pleased to see the small-fry, as he wanted to hook the big fish.
A Showdown For Ages
An Animation Masterclass
As Shanks was getting ready, he used Future Sight and saw the destruction of the entire fleet at the hands of Kid. Naturally, he could not let his underlings suffer such a cruel fate, so he rushed toward Kid’s location to try and stop him from using Damned Punk. Shanks’ agility paid off, as he arrived in the nick of time to stop Kid from wreaking havoc.
The Yonko use Divine Departure, a technique used by Gol D. Roger, to fight Oden. The attack utilizes Armament and Conqueror’s Haki, making it extremely potent. When the strike connected, Kid and Killer were knocked out, and they were unable to move. Dorry and Brogy piled further misery on the Kid Pirates with their combined attack, which destroyed the Victoria Punk. Kid lost his self-esteem and his Road Poneglyphs, and there is no doubt that he can no longer compete for the One Piece.
A Key Detail Lost
The Appearance Of Blackbeard’s Ship
In One Piece Episode 1112, there was a small section dedicated to the Egghead arc. While there were no major developments on the island, something big was happening outside. Not far from the island, a ship with a familiar Jolly Roger appeared. This vessel belonged to none other than Blackbeard, one of the Yonko. The sudden appearance of the ship raises many questions regarding the Yonko’s motives.
However, it is unlikely that Blackbeard is on the vessel, as he was last seen fighting Trafalgar Law on Winner Island. The outcome of the fight is unknown, so it makes sense to assume that the Emperor is nowhere near Egghead Island. So, who could be on the ship?
The Possible Suspects
Who Could Be On The Ship
Blackbeard was not alone on Winner Island. He was accompanied by Van Augur, Jesus Burgess, and Doc Q. While the Heart Pirates are strong, they are no match for Blackbeard and his Titanic Captains. So, the outcome of the fight will likely be in the favor of the Blackbeard Pirates. Out of the four, Van Augur has the power to teleport instantly, so there is a small possibility of him being on the ship bound for Egghead Island. Of course, this depends on whether they have beaten Law and his crewmates.
Blackbeard is bound to have left some of his most trusted fighters in Hachinosu; after all, it is his base. Lafitte, Avalo Pizzaro, Vasco Shot, Catarina Devon, Sanjuan Wolf, Shiryu, and Kuzan could all potentially be on the island. Some of them have already participated in different missions, so it seems unlikely that they will leave the island. Lafitte and Shiryu may be on the ship, as they appear more serious than the rest, making them the perfect candidates to lead an important mission in Blackbeard’s absence.
What Does Blackbeard Want From Egghead Island?
Blackbeard’s Motive Will Be Revealed Soon
Blackbeard did not show any interest in Egghead Island. However, he might have changed his mind after coming across new information. Blackbeard is a known opportunist, and he only makes a move when he knows it will be worth it. So, there might be something on Egghead Island that could give him the lead in his desire to cinch the One Piece.
With Big Mom And Kaido Gone, The World’s Gonna Turn On Its Head. Sounds Fun, Huh? – Blackbeard
Or Blackbeard may want to take advantage of the chaos, kidnap Stella, and make him work. The timing of his mission is really something, as the Marines will dock on the island as well.
There will be even more chaos on the island, making it the perfect opportunity for the Blackbeard Pirates to take what they want. Another thing to keep in mind is that Caribou is trapped on Egghead Island. He despises the Straw Hat Pirates and would certainly like to get back at them. If he were to meet the Blackbeard Pirates and offer his services, they might take him along. Also, it is worth noting that Caribou knows about Pluton and Poseidon. Knowing Blackbeard, he would be all over such an opportunity. At the moment, it is all conjecture, but the truth will be revealed in the upcoming episodes.
