The New World is said to be the most treacherous of all seas in the One Piece world. Known to be the second half of the Grand Line, the New World makes the first half of this ocean feel like a Paradise, which is why many people often crave this part of the ocean once they set foot in the New World.
It is the scariest of all oceans in the One Piece world, and, consequently, it is no surprise for the fans to know that only a handful of individuals can actually survive there. In fact, there are quite a lot of incredible pirates who ended up meeting their demise, or having their crews destroyed in the New World after setting into the sea from a different ocean.
7 Basil Hawkins
Crushed In The War Of Onigashima
Basil Hawkins hailed from the North Blue and was quite an incredible fighter. Known to be a member of the Worst Generation, Basil Hawkins was always ready to make his mark in the New World. Unfortunately, things did not go perfectly for him. He ended up betraying his alliance with Kid, and as a result, surrendered to Kaido.
Thereafter, he served the role of a Headliner of the Beast Pirates, and this time, he saw it to the very end. Hawkins fought against Killer in the Onigashima War, however, despite his incredible bag of tricks, he ended up being defeated and is potentially dead now.
6 Killer
Crushed By Red-Haired Shanks Near Elbaf
The right-hand man of Captain Kid, fans know Killer to be quite a powerful individual. In Wano, a glimpse of his powers was given to the fans, and it was nothing short of staggering.
Killer ended up defeating Hawkins in his last battle, however, when he was faced with the Red-Haired Pirate, he stood absolutely no chance and was utterly destroyed. Killer was sent to the bottom of the ocean by Shanks and his pirate crew.
5 Doflamingo

The Heavenly Demon, Doflamingo was always quite an incredibly powerful individual, and he certainly did possess the charm of a king as well. While Doflamingo was certainly quite strong, acquiring tremendous powers and utilizing Haki and Devil Fruit abilities like no other, he was still not a top predator in the New World.
When the Straw Hat Pirates came to Dress Rosa, his acts of villainy went beyond human imagination.
Undoubtedly, it was clear for the fans to see that Doflamingo did not have long left on this ocean. After Luffy defeated him, he was arrested by the Navy, and locked in a very heavily guarded prison, called Impel Down. His entire crew was also decimated. As a result, Donquixote Pirates were no more, which meant that they all ended up becoming victims of the giant ocean known as the New World.
4 Eustass Kid
Crushed By Red-Haired Shanks
Hailing from the South Blue, Eustass Kid is known to be quite a powerful individual, and a pirate who is from the Worst Generation, just like Luffy. Kid was instrumental in the Wano War, where he ended up facing Big Mom, and, together with Law, he was able to defeat her. Kid left Wano as a successful pirate, having a bounty of 3 billion berries.
However, he was given a reality check by none other than Shanks. When Shanks fought Kid, the latter ended up getting one shot by the red-haired Emperor. At the same time, the Giant Pirates helped Shanks destroy the ship of the Kid Pirates, and this was surely an utter annihilation.
3 Trafalgar Law
Crushed By Blackbeard On Winner Island
The Surgeon of Death, Law was a very notorious pirate in the North Blue, who, at some point, made it big, along with his entire pirate crew of Heart Pirates. Law was quite powerful, and his showing in Wano is proof of that. He acquired a 3 billion berries bounty after Wano, however, he still ended up being decimated by the likes of Blackbeard.
Even though he put up a decent fight against Blackbeard, he was not able to defeat him. As a result, Law, his flagship, and his pirate crew, were all destroyed by him, with most of them being sent to the bottom of the ocean.
2 Big Mom
Crushed By Kid And Law In Wano
Big Mom was a former Emperor of the Sea who ruled the New World for many years. She ruled it successfully with an iron fist, while she was in search of the One Piece, for decades.
In the Wano arc, she ended up fighting against Kid and Law, and they defeated her by combining their incredible powers and pushing themselves beyond all limits.
1 Kaido
Crushed By Monkey D. Luffy
The strongest creature in the world, Kaido is yet another fighter to end up falling in the New World. Kaido set his base in the land of Wano after the split of the Rocks Pirates. He ruled Wano for over 20 years, and, after that, he faced off against Luffy.
When Kaido fought Luffy, he realized that Luffy was Joy Boy. With Luffy learning all types of advanced Haki and even awakening his Devil Fruit, the writing was quite clear for the fans to see. Kaido’s entire crew was ultimately decimated. Fans do not know where the survivors of this crew are, however Kaido himself was sent to the bottom of Wano, in an underground volcano, which then erupted violently. Kaido might actually be dead already.
