One Piece chapter 1110 was quite easily one of the most unbelievable chapters that the fans have read in a long, long time. This chapter focused on the climax of the Egghead Island arc, and certainly delivered on the incredible setup that the previous chapter had put in place. Fans got to see the Five Elders finally arriving on Egghead Island in this One Piece chapter, and all of them went on to reveal their Yokai transformations.

Of course, when it comes to the Gorosei, there is one that stands out quite a lot, and this is the Gorosei who wields a sword, named Saint Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro. Nusjuro was seen in action in One Piece chapter 1110, and his powers were revealed to be that of the Bakotsu Yokai. It was quite clear for the fans to see that this Yokai is incredibly powerful, and they will most definitely see more of them in the upcoming chapters.

In One Piece chapter 1110, Saint Saturn finally utilized the summoning circle to bring all the remaining Gorosei to Egghead. Of course, immediately, all of them took to their Yokai transformations. One interesting thing to note here is that Oda did not reveal their Devil Fruit names. It appears that they actually do not have Devil Fruits, but actually possessed the powers of Yokai, the source of which remains unknown. Regardless, what fans were incredibly excited to see was their yokai-based transformations, and in the case of V. Nusjuro, this transformation was revealed to be that of the Bakotsu, which is a horse Yokai. First things first, fans got to see the character design of this incredible Bakotsu Yokai. The Bakotsu is a skeletal horse with quite a

creepy look. If Nusjuro had a Devil Fruit, then he would have the power of the Yokai Uma Uma no Mi, Model: Bakotsu. It is said that the Bakotsu is a Yokai created from the bones of a horse that was burned to death in a fire.

Often, Oda focuses on the goofy sides of his designs. However, here, Oda has actually gone all serious, and delivered a rather uncanny design, when it comes to One Piece characters. Nusjuro transformed into this giant skeletal horse with absolutely no flesh on his body. It is also apparent that he has the Homuragumo around his neck. This is an indication of the fact that his Yokai transformation might actually be awakened, as is the case with the remaining Five Elders. While Nusjuro used the full Bakotsu transformation at first, he later switched to a hybrid form, which indicates that he can switch between forms just like a regular Zoan-type Devil Fruit. In his hybrid form, Nusjuro looks like a centaur. He has his human upper half, with the lower half being that of the Bakotsu Yokai.

The Power of The Bakotsu Horse Yokai

Undoubtedly, fans have not seen the full power of the Bakotsu Yokai just yet. However, from what they have seen, the primary power of this incredibly powerful Yokai appears to be its amazing speed and strength. Bakotsu was seen in One Piece chapter 1110, and it tore through the Pacifistas in the blink of an eye. Using its incredible speed, Nusjuro was able to gallop around the edge of Egghead and completely obliterate the Pacifistas using his sword. It must also be remembered that Nusjuro is a powerful swordsman. In fact, the blade that he has in his possession appears to be from the Kitetsu line, which means that he is the welder of a Supreme Grade weapon. Using this sword in conjunction with his powers, Nusjuro took to his hybrid form and sliced through all the Pacifistas.

The primary power of the Bakotsu Yokai appears to be freezing enemies. Every enemy that he slices gets frozen and temporarily put out of their misery. All the Pacifistas that Nusjuro cut with his sword were frozen. These powers are likely derived from the Bakotsu Yokai, due to it being a Yokai from hell. This means Nusjuro can summon the chill of the underworld, just like Brook. That in itself makes him a very powerful individual. His centaur transformation was also incredible to look at. Given that he has awakened this beastly form, it is safe to say that he possesses tremendous physical strength, as well as amazing speed.

As is the case with all the members of the Five Elders, Nusjuro and his Bakotsu Yokai most definitely also have the power of incredible regeneration. That, on top of his amazing strength, speed, and of course, cutting ability that freezes enemies to the core, make him an exceptionally powerful fighter.

It must also be remembered that Nusjuro’s full potential has not been revealed just yet. He has only just started to show what he is truly capable of. His full capabilities remain unseen and he will most likely demonstrate more of his skills in the upcoming One Piece chapter.

How Strong Is V. Nusjuro’s Bakotsu Yokai?

The Bakotsu Yokai is incredibly powerful, and with his abilities, ranks among the strongest individuals in the One Piece world. While fans might have wondered as to how strong the Five Elders truly are, with their display in One Piece chapter 1110, it is very easy to see that they are actually incredibly overpowered. Nusjuro, in particular, holds the ability of this amazing Yokai. He is able to slice at blinding speeds, making him a speed-type swordsman who can blitz through any enemy. Furthermore, the blade that he carries is the Shodai Kitetsu, and that means he is strong enough to overcome the curse of the strongest blade of the Kitetsu line.

Given that the Bakotsu is said to be a Yokai that emerges from the spirit of a horse that was burned to death, Nusjuro might actually have spiritual powers as well. Still, this is something that has not been confirmed in the story so far. What fans do know, however, is that Nujsuro has a very powerful Haki. This was confirmed in One Piece chapter 1110, where both Zoro and Rob Lucci confirmed that there was a monstrously powerful Haki on Egghead. Of course, this Haki does not belong to Nusjuro alone, but to every member of the Five Elders. However, this confirms the fact that Nujsuro too has monstrously overpowered Haki. In One Piece chapter 1110, he was seen coating his sword in Armament Haki, which means that he is a good user of it.

At the same time, Nusjuro took down 25 Mark 3 Pacifistas in the blink of an eye, and that is a testament to his amazing speed, strength, as well as swordplay skills. The Bakotsu Yokai aids him greatly in combat, and given that stallions are known for their amazing strength, he certainly possesses it. His speed as well as his freezing ability, which the fans have seen very little of, is sure to be up there with the very best abilities in One Piece. That, when coupled with regeneration, makes V. Nusjuro a Yonko-level character, at the very least, especially when he is in his Bakotsu form.

One Piece is available to read via Viz Media. The series can be read by the fans officially and for free on the Shonen Jump and the Manga Plus app. The release date for the next chapter of One Piece, One Piece 1110, is set to be March 17, 2024.
