WARNING: The following contains spoilers for One Piece Episode 1108, “Incomprehensible! The Seraphim’s Rebellion!”, now streaming on Crunchyroll.
One Piece Episode 1108 began with S-Snake attacking York, one of Vegapunk’s satellites. Logically, the Seraphim should not have attacked York, as she holds the authority to command her. After dealing with York, S-Snake turned her attention towards Ussop, Lilith, Pythagoras, and Franky. Lilith ordered the Seraphim to stop, but it had no effect. S-Snake’s refusal to listen to orders scared the group, and they knew that their best shot at survival was by running away.
Elsewhere, S-Bear started to attack Zoro, Lucci, and Kaku. Since the two CP0 agents were locked up, they couldn’t defend themselves. So, Zoro had to carry them to safety. When S-Hawk appeared, Zoro had no option but to engage him in a duel. Surprisingly, S-Hawk also targeted Rob Lucci and Kaku, which caused Zoro to intervene and protect them.
The Seraphim Continue Their Rampage
It didn’t take long for Zoro to understand that the Seraphim were not just aiming for him but for the CP0 agents as well. Shaka and Luffy went outside after hearing the commotion outside, and they were perplexed to see the Seraphim fighting against Zoro. The two pirates were ready to fight S-Hawk and S-Bear, but Shaka told them to stop as he wanted to test the rank of authority. The satellite ordered both Seraphim to stop, but it did not work. The moment Zoro sheathed his swords, the Seraphim attacked again.
After narrowly escaping with their lives, Shaka began to analyze the situation. He informed Luffy and Zoro that one of the satellites was ordering the Seraphim, which is why they didn’t listen to him. Shaka also revealed that whoever is controlling the Seraphim intends to kill all of them. Rob Lucci and Kaku, who were previously out cold, finally got up after hearing the explosions.
The Temporary Truce
When the two CP0 agents learned that the Seraphim were also targeting them, they proposed the idea of forming a temporary truce. It is safe to say that Luffy and Zoro were not happy with the prospect, and disgust was showing on their faces. Zoro entertained the idea of freeing them, but he asked whether they would let themselves be cuffed again.
Kaku admitted that they would coordinate, which convinced Luffy, but Zoro was adamant that they were lying. The discussion was interrupted by S-Hawk, who used his Devil Fruit to attack. It was revealed that he possessed Supa Supa no Mi, the same Devil Fruit as Daz Bones.
Release Date
One Piece anime released a special episode covering the old and new Yonko. Due to this, Episode 1109 was delayed, and it will be released on June 23, 2024. It is titled “A Tough Decision! An Unusual United Front!”. In One Piece Episode 1109, the Straw Hat Pirates will continue their defense against the Seraphim, who have been running for some time now.
These killing machines are under the orders of one of the satellites of Vegapunk. They have already taken down York, and Pythagoras narrowly escaped with his life. With the odds stacked against them, the Straw Hat Pirates have to do something unexpected to survive.
The Unlikely Alliance
From the preview, it appears that Luffy finally decides to team up with Rob Lucci and Kaku. The two CP0 members are experienced fighters who can provide much-needed backup against the Seraphim. Both of them are Devil Fruit users who have awakened their abilities and can use them without any problems. Aside from their Devil Fruits, they can also use Rokushiki and Haki.
There is a good chance that One Piece fans will get the chance to see an epic battle between the two sides. The Seraphim won’t let up until they are beaten, so the alliance has little choice. Away from the action, the satellites and the other Straw Hats have to locate Dr. Vegapunk, who has been missing for a while now. Without him, they will leave the island, but they have to be quick as the Marines are headed towards the island. If they arrive before Stella is found, things will become more complicated, and the Straw Hats will have to fight more enemies.
Kid Vs Shanks?
In the preview for Episode 1109, Kid and Shanks made brief appearances, implying that the two might go head-to-head sooner rather than later. The two previously fought during the time-skip, which resulted in Eustass Kid losing his left arm. However, a lot has transpired since then, and Kid should be able to give Shanks a tough fight. Kid has mastered the use of Devil Fruit, but his Haki is not on the same level as some of the strongest characters in One Piece.
Where To Stream
One Piece Episode 1109 will be available to stream on Crunchyroll immediately after it premieres in Japan. The episode will have Japanese audio along with English subtitles. The dubbed version is still a ways away from release.
