One Piece Episode 1100 gave fans a taste of the quality of Egghead arc. Initially, there were many concerns by the fans regarding the animation for Egghead arc. They believed it was hard to replicate the standards set by the Wano Country arc, but Episode 1100 proved that Toei has the capacity to surpass all of its previous work.
The main focus of One Piece Episode 1100 was the duel between Luffy and Lucci. The two have a history that goes back to Water 7, where they fought for the first time. Lucci emerged as the winner in the initial encounter, but Luffy came out on top in the subsequent one. So, the third fight on Egghead Island would settle the score once and for all.
The Fight Begins
Early in the episode, Sakazuki was seen ordering the CP0 agents to not engage Luffy’s crew until the backup arrived. He was frustrated by the situation, but he knew it would be best to tread carefully. The Fleet Admiral stated that he had sent Kizaru to help out the assassins. Kaku and Stussy also advised Rob Lucci to not engage Luffy. But he had already made up his mind. Luffy wasn’t interested in stepping away, especially after what Lucci did to Atlas. Before they began fighting, both of them were involved in an intense staredown.
Shortly afterward, the two began to trade blows. Most fans predicted an easy victory for Luffy, especially after his performance against Kaido. But Lucci managed to keep up with Luffy’s movements, showing that he was still an excellent fighter. When both of them realized that they wouldn’t get anywhere fighting like that, they decided to unleash their awakened Zoan forms.
The Awakened Zoan Transformations
Luffy was the first to change, and this time the anime beautifully showed how he transformed into the Warrior of Liberation. As soon as Luffy completed his transformation, he landed a hit on Lucci, sending him flying into a building. However, Lucci had an ace up his sleeve as well, which was his Awakened form. Everyone was shocked to see Lucci’s new form, especially Shaka, as he knew that Zoan-type Devil Fruit users lose their will if they utilized their awakened state for too long. In his new form, Lucci’s physical abilities reached a completely different level. He was able to keep up with Luffy, which was very impressive.
Elsewhere, the other members of CP0 were under attack by Sentomaru and the Seraphim. Since Sentomaru’s authority superseded theirs, CP0 couldn’t order the Seraphim. However, Lucci turned the tables by knocking out Sentomaru, allowing CP0 to regain control of the weapons.
Release Date
There will be a week’s break before the next episode of One Piece airs, so, fans will have to be patient. One Piece Episode 1101 will be released on April 21, 2024. It is titled, “The Strongest Form of Humanity! The Seraphim’s Powers!”. The episode’s focus is going to be on the climax of Rob Lucci vs. Luffy. The two have already used up too much of their time, which is why they will have to wrap up the fight as quickly as possible.
From their tussle, it has been quite evident that Luffy holds the edge. Not only is his Devil Fruit phenomenal, but he also has Conqueror’s Haki in his arsenal. Lucci has done well to hold his own, but he cannot sustain it for too long. One Piece Episode 1101 will see the battle come to an end for good, and Luffy will emerge victorious.
Chaos On Egghead
Even after Lucci is defeated, the Straw Hats will still be under threat, and this time it will be the Seraphim. With Sentomaru out of commission, CP0 can freely order the Seraphim. These weapons of mass destruction can easily overwhelm even the strongest characters. So, the pirates have to be extremely careful and be on their guard.
The crew will have to rely on its other powerful members, as Luffy won’t be able to fight for a while. Gear 5 takes a massive toll on Luffy’s body, and he won’t be able to move freely. The only way that the Straw Hats swing the pendulum in their favor is if Vegapunk or any of his satellites order the Seraphim in person. The Seraphim won’t take orders over the mic, which is a major drawback. However, the satellites know that they cannot go into the middle of the battle, especially after what Lucci did to Atlas. The correct course of action would be to wait for the right moment to strike.
