The curtain has finally been brought down on the Wano Country arc. The arc has concluded after four long years, and needless to say, it was excellent from the start to the finish. One Piece Episode 1085 turned out to be the final episode of the Wano Country arc, and it included an emotional moment between the Straw Hats and Momonosuke.
The Straw Hats had already decided their next destination, so they only had to set sail. The Heart Pirates and the Kid Pirates had already started to move away from the coast, but Luffy and his crew waited to bid farewell to Momonosuke. The new Shogun of Wano had transformed into a dragon and tried to make his way toward the coast as quickly as possible. Momonosuke wasn’t alone; Kin’emon and Yamato were with him. As Momonosuke got closer to Luffy, he reverted to his normal form. Momonosuke was not happy with the fact that Luffy was going to leave without saying goodbye to him and Kin’emon, even though he had known them for the longest.
Shortly afterward, he burst into tears and admitted that he didn’t want to be separated from the crew. He remembered the time he met the Straw Hats for the first time and how they had helped him overcome Kaido and Orochi. Momonosuke’s tears weren’t stopping, so Luffy decided to intervene. He asked Usopp to throw him a giant flag that had the Jolly Roger of the Straw Hat Pirates. Luffy told Momonosuke that whenever Wano was in trouble, he should wave the flag. Luffy also stated that he thought of Momonosuke as a younger brother. After saying goodbye to Momonosuke, Kin’emon, and Yamato, the Straw Hats finally departed.
They caught up with the Heart Pirates and the Kid Pirates. Kid mocked his rivals for using the official port. Law and Luffy did not like his remarks, so they decided to turn their ships and follow Kid. This resulted in their ships being thrown off the waterfall. Toward the end of Episode 1085, there was a segment in which a person narrated the events that took place in the Wano Country arc. The audience enjoyed the retelling and was particularly thrilled about Hiyori’s part.

Release Date
One Piece Episode 1086 will be released on December 3, 2023. It is titled “A New Emperor! Buggy the Genius Jester!” From the looks of it, the new episode will be focused on Buggy. He and Luffy were chosen as the new Yonko after the events of the Wano Country arc. Luffy deserved the title after his heroics against Kaido. He managed to do the unthinkable and take down the strongest creature in the world. The same can’t be said about Buggy, who has a history of getting things that he does not earn. Even his induction into the Shichibukai was due to a massive misunderstanding. So, it is highly probable that something similar happened again, and Buggy was handed a spot among the Yonko.
What’s more interesting is how he managed to bring Mihawk and Crocodile under his leadership. The two are among the most renowned fighters in the world, so there is no possible reason to team up with someone who is far weaker than them. One Piece Episode 1086 will provide insight into this particular thing. In the preview of the episode, Buggy could be seen standing with Mihawk and Crocodile, suggesting the three are on good terms. However, it is highly improbable that there is a catch.
Another interesting thing in the preview was the reveal of Crocodile’s bounty. His original bounty was just 81,000,000 berries, and now it has gone up to a whopping 1,965,000,000 berries. This is one of the biggest bounty increases in the series to date. It is very likely that his bounty was increased due to his actions in Marineford and his affiliation with the Cross Guild. Mihawk’s bounty poster was also shown in the preview, but his bounty was hidden. One Piece Episode 1086 will finally show the bounty of the strongest swordsman in the world, and it could easily be over 3 billion berries.
Episode 1086 will also show the status of the Straw Hats as they leave Wano and very possibly reveal their new bounties. It has been confirmed that Egghead is the next destination for the crew. But the arc won’t air until next year, so there won’t be much focus on the crew. The anime will cover other incidents that occurred while the Straw Hats were busy dealing with Kaido and his minions.
Where To Watch
