Conqueror’s Haki is one of the most lethal abilities in the One Piece world that fans have seen over the years. This power was actually introduced in the story before the timeskip, and ever since then, it has been growing greatly in terms of importance. After the timeskip, Conqueror’s Haki has been doubly important, and right now, it can be said that it is up there with the most crucial abilities in the arsenal of some of the strongest individuals, such as the Yonko, including Luffy himself.
Much of that is down to the advanced form of Conqueror’s Haki, also known as Conqueror’s Haki Infusion, that fans have been recently introduced to and the power which continues to marvel fans in One Piece.
What Is Conqueror’s Haki?
The Rarest Of All Haki Types In One Piece
Conqueror’s Haki is a special type of Haki that is only present within a handful of individuals in the One Piece world. Generally, every person has access to two types of Haki. Conqueror’s Haki is a special ability that is only found within one in a million people, and this power cannot be attained, no matter what. A person is either born with Conqueror’s Haki, or they are not. Once the person is born with Conqueror’s Haki, they then have to tap into their latent Haki and awaken it. Essentially, Conqueror’s Haki is present in those who possess great ambition and drive. Those who wield Conqueror’s Haki are known to be ones with great leadership qualities, and above all, an incredible drive.
When it comes to Conqueror’s Haki, there are lots of things that the fans know it does. Simply put, the basic version of this Haki allows one to manifest their willpower and intimidate others around them. This is basically an imposition of one’s own willpower in their surroundings. Everyone who’s around the user can get affected by Conqueror’s Haki and be intimidated, as a result. Advanced users of Conqueror’s can pick and choose who gets to be affected by their Haki. When the difference in strength is too great, the target can pass out due to the overwhelming effects of this Haki type. As such, this Haki allows one to beat their opponents without even lifting a finger, and that is truly brilliant.
If the difference in power is not all that great, then, the basic form of Conqueror’s Haki does nothing more than intimidate the opponent a bit. Other than that, it is practically useless in its basic form. However, there are many other forms of Conqueror’s Haki that fans have been introduced to over the years, and the most important of them is Conqueror’s Haki Infusion.
Conqueror’s Haki Infusion
The Ability To Imbue Conqueror’s Haki In Attacks
Conqueror’s Haki Infusion is an ability that was first introduced to the fans in the Wano Country Arc. This is a special power that made its debut during Luffy and Kaido’s first fight. In this fight, Kaido used one of his strongest techniques, Thunder Bagua, to defeat Luffy and this technique had Conqueror’s Haki infused in it. Later down the line, Conqueror’s Haki infusion was finally explained during the raid on Onigashima. During this raid, Kaido used another Conqueror’s Haki-infused attack, called Kosanze: Ragnaraku, and this attack completely knocked Luffy out for a few seconds. As that happened, however, Luffy realized that Kaido’s attacks had Conqueror’s Haki infused in them, and from there onwards, Oda explained what Conqueror’s Haki infusion truly is.
Simply put, Conqueror’s Haki, which is a manifestation of a person’s willpower, can be infused in their bodies. Just like how Armament Haki uses the spirit of an individual and allows them to coat their bodies in it like armor, to be used both offensively and defensively, Conqueror’s Haki can do the same. The only difference is that instead of spirit, Conqueror’s Haki uses willpower to coat the user’s body and boost their offensive and defensive powers greatly. When compared to Armament Haki, the boost provided by Conqueror’s Haki is absolutely immense.
You can infuse things with Conqueror’s Haki, can’t you? – Luffy
In fact, what is even more incredible is the fact that Conqueror’s Haki can be stacked with Armament Haki, making the attacks even more powerful. When Luffy learned how to infuse Conqueror’s Haki, he became strong enough to overwhelm Kaido even though his Haki was rough, and, ever since then, he has gone on to refine it incredibly well.
Only a handful of the strongest can!!! – Kaido
Over the years, fans have seen many powerful users of Conqueror’s Haki Infusion. Of course, this includes the vast majority of the Yonko, such as Luffy, Big Mom, Kaido, and of course, the one who might possess the strongest Conqueror’s Haki of all, Shanks. There are also other individuals in the One Piece world who possess Conqueror’s Haki Infusion. These are the likes of Yamato, and of course, even Zoro. Clearly, Conqueror’s Haki is an incredible ability that has allowed these individuals to take their skills to the very next level. This is to be expected, and in Kaido’s own words, only a handful of the strongest can wield Conqueror’s Haki Infusion.
Is Conqueror’s Haki Infusion The Strongest Power In One Piece?
Only A Handful Can Wield Conqueror’s Haki Infusion
Conqueror’s Haki Infusion is certainly one of the strongest powers in the One Piece world. However, it would be disingenuous to say that it is the strongest ability in One Piece. Haki depends greatly on the willpower of the user. The person with greater ambition has greater willpower, and greater willpower means that they have potential for stronger Haki. However, Haki is not the only power that exists in the One Piece world. It must never be forgotten that Devil Fruits are the primary power system in One Piece, and they still form the core of the series. Devil Fruits offer tremendous ability in One Piece, and Haki is just another form of power. There are individuals who specialize in using Devil Fruits solely in battle to defeat their enemies, and of course, there are individuals who specialize in Haki. One is certainly not better than the other, and both offer tremendous benefits. Even though Kaido is of the opinion that Haki conquers all, it is simply his opinion and, in the end, his stronger Haki was crushed by Luffy’s stronger Devil Fruit power combined with Haki.
There is also another ability that can be said to be among the very best in the One Piece world and that is the power of science. Science has been extremely prevalent in One Piece’s Final Saga. Vegapunk, who created the Seraphims, himself confirmed that the Seraphims that he developed are the strongest form of humanity. This includes the likes of the Yonko, and that means the Seraphims have the potential to reach similar levels as the Yonko and possibly surpass even them. Science is a power that can surpass all in One Piece, and it should be put up there with the likes of Devil Fruits, and of course, Haki.
Essentially, it is safe to say that there are many power forms in the One Piece world, and all of them are incredible in their own ways. The idea that Haki is the strongest of all is simply opinionated and, taking that as an objective truth is clearly incorrect. There are those who specialize in Devil Fruit abilities, and those who specialize in Haki. There is no reason to believe that one is superior to another, when evidence exists the opposite.
One Piece is available to read via Viz Media. The series can be read by the fans officially and for free on the Shonen Jump and the Manga Plus app. The release date for the next chapter of One Piece, One Piece 1112, is set to be April 21, 2024.
