One Piece’s Egghead Island arc is continuing at full intensity and it appears that the arc is about to tackle its climax, with major fights being already set up in the story. The Egghead Island arc has been nothing short of extraordinary so far and it is a given that it will get only better from here onwards.

With the conclusion of the Kuma flashback, the Egghead Island arc is now solely focused on its finale, and, as was confirmed recently by Oda, this will mark the end of the arc and the beginning of the next adventure for the Straw Hat Pirates. With One Piece chapter 1104 dropping recently, the finale fights of the Egghead Island Arc seem to have finally been confirmed.

The Major Egghead Incident

At the core of the Egghead Island Arc is, of course, the major Egghead Incident. Preparations for this incident begin even before the Straw Hat Pirates got to Egghead Island. Essentially, all this is currently going down because of Vegapunk's betrayal of the Government. It was York, one of the satellites of Vegapunk who sold information to the World Government, hoping that she would be made a Celestial Dragon for the information that she sold to them. As soon as Vegapunk's betrayal was confirmed, the World Government decided to make plans to eliminate Vegapunk. While Vegapunk would have been eliminated nonetheless by a major force, when Straw Hat Luffy arrived on Egghead, Admiral Kizaru, who was on his way to the island, called for every nearby Marine ship to join him on the mission to barricade the Egghead Island and assassinate the targets.

To do this, 100 ships were sent to the island, which included 20 large battleships, that held 30,000 soldiers, including nine Vice Admirals of the Navy, and, of course, one Admiral. Most surprisingly, one of the Five Elders, Saint Jaygarcia Saturn, was called to Egghead Island as well. This is simply down to the fact that the Five Elders have the highest authority over the Pacifistas and having him there would mean that all Mark 3 Pacifistas as well as the Seraphim would be turned against Vegapunk easily. Furthermore, Saturn is the Warrior God of Defense Science and the best one suited for an attack against Vegapunk.

The Egghead Final Fights

The finale of the Egghead Island Arc has already begun. After the middle section of the arc began, fans got to see a flashback of Bartholomew Kuma and his entire life. This flashback spanned over several chapters and as soon as it wrapped up, fans could see the finale of the arc drawing closer than ever before. Now, the end of the Egghead Island arc is closer and it is certainly looking like the final fights have already been set up. In the last few chapters, fans saw Kuma himself arrive on the island, while Saturn, who had transformed into his demon state, was attempting to eliminate Bonney first of all.

Kuma saved Bonney from Saturn by punching Satirn across the face and sending them flying. However, after he saved his daughter, it was made pretty clear that he was in no state to continue fighting. Now, everything rests on Luffy's shoulders and the other powerful fighters of the Straw Hat Pirates, who will have to take things into their own hands.

Zoro Vs Lucci

The very first major fight of the Egghead Island arc that fans will get to witness in the story is Zoro against Lucci. Lucci is a villain who fans are very well familiar with and who has already established himself as one of One Piece's very best antagonists. He finds himself on Egghead Island once again. As was proven earlier in the arc, he was absolutely no match for Luffy. This means that to make the fighting more interesting, Lucci needs to fight someone weaker than Luffy and that person is none other than Zoro. Zoro himself is quite strong and has recently acquired a 1.11 billion berry bounty. As a result, this appears to be quite an even fight between two powerful individuals.

Lucci has the power of his Awakening that he recently tapped into and Zoro has his newly acquired King of Hell form that he has already activated against Lucci. This battle is going to be nothing short of extraordinary and fans are incredibly excited to see it play out. Hopefully, Zoro will be the one that emerges on top.

Luffy Vs Saturn

While Zoro versus Lucci is certainly a battle that has all the fans excited, it is the fight between Luffy and Saturn that is going to be the main event of the Egghead Island arc. The basis for this fight was set quite early into the arc and fans already know that Luffy always takes on the strongest villains wherever he goes. Luffy already fought against Kizaru and, later, it was established that Saturn is even above him. As a result, it was quite clear for fans to see that Luffy would, at some point, end up taking Saturn on in combat. To do that, however, Luffy needed to regain his stamina, which he lost while fighting Kizaru. Someone secretly fed Luffy recently, and shortly after that, it seems that he recovered his stamina.

In One Piece chapter 1104, Luffy already vanished from in front of Saturn. It seems that he is already making preparations for his grand return to fighting and fans only need to wait for a bit longer to see him jump back into action. Luffy versus Saturn is, understandably, going to be the highlight of the arc and will see him tap into the power of Gear 5 once again and use it to crush the member of the Five Elders and secure and escape from the island.

Sanji Vs Kizaru

One of the most exciting fights that could potentially end up taking place in the Egghead Island Arc is the clash between Sanji and Kizaru. This clash looked like it was unlikely to happen at first, however, with the recent events, it seems likely going to happen in One Piece very soon. Currently, Sanji is at the same place where Kizaru and Saturn are. In One Piece chapter 1104, Sanji stopped one of Saturn's powerful attacks and saved Bonney. Immediately after, Kizaru already jumped into battle and he decided to attack Franky, who launched a powerful attack on Saturn and managed to pierce the hole in his body.

Kizaru immediately blew Franky away. Right now, the only characters down below that are capable of fighting Saturn and Kizaru are Luffy and Sanji. It is a given that Luffy will take on Saturn and, as a result, the one who is going to take on Kizaru in battle is going to be none other than Sanji. Franky may aid Sanji in this fight, however, given that he was easily blown away by Kizaru in the previous chapter, this is unlikely. Even if Franky does provide help, his level of strength isn't significant enough to make that much of a difference in the fight against Kizaru. It appears that it is all on Sanji's shoulders right now and he has to fight against one Admiral on his own and win.

One Piece is available to read via Viz Media. The series can be read by the fans officially and for free on the Shonen Jump and the Manga Plus app. Since One Piece is going to be on break, the release date for the next chapter of One Piece, One Piece 1104, is set to be January 21, 2024.
