Three of the most well-known teams featured in the series are Team 7, Team 9, and Team 10, each having its own focus. Team 7, led by Kakashi, includes Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura. It is the most recognized team in the series, featuring some of the strongest characters.

Naruto’s Team 10, led by Asuma Sarutobi, comprises Ino, Choji, and Shikamaru, known for their strategic maneuvers in battles. Team 9, led by Might Guy, consists of Rock Lee, Neji, and Tenten, focusing on taijutsu skills and embracing Guy’s philosophy of the Power of Youth.

Might Guy (also known as Mighty Guy and Guy Sensei) is a Jonin, holding a high rank among ninjas, who excels in taijutsu, specializing in hand-to-hand combat. His journey into taijutsu mastery stemmed from a lack of ability in ninjutsu and genjutsu during his childhood. Through intense training, Guy became a taijutsu master. Unlike most ninjas in the world of Naruto, Guy does not use weapons like kunai or shuriken, preferring to use blade-less weapons like a pair of nunchaku.

As a child, Might Guy and Kakashi Hatake first meet when they are assigned to the same team under the leadership of future Fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze. Their relationship is characterized by a friendly rivalry, with Guy constantly challenging Kakashi in various competitions, including non-ninja contests like eating competitions and rock-paper-scissors. Despite their differences in approach and personality, their bond is rooted in mutual respect, and Guy’s unwavering support is evident in crucial moments throughout the series.

Although Guy can effectively use ninjutsu and genjutsu, he makes it a personal choice to rely on taijutsu whenever possible. Rock Lee, Guy’s favorite student, epitomizes the Power of Youth through his relentless training and dedication to taijutsu. Despite lacking the ability to perform ninjutsu or genjutsu, Rock Lee

became an extraordinary martial artist through sheer hard work and insurmountable determination. Throughout the series, Rock Lee employs the Power of Youth in intense battles, and one of the most notable instances is his fight against Gaara during the Chunin Exams preliminaries.

During the fight, Gaara has the upper hand. To enhance his speed and power, Rock Lee removes the weights on his legs, revealing the continuous nature of his training, as he always wears the weights. However, this alone is not enough to defeat Gaara. In a desperate move, Rock Lee opens the first five of the Eight Inner Gates, unlocking immense chakra and elevating his physical abilities to an extraordinary level. Despite not defeating Gaara and eventually requiring Might Guy to come to his rescue, Rock Lee’s resilience and determination in the face of overwhelming odds serve as inspiration for fellow shinobi and future Hokage, Naruto Uzumaki. His fight against Gaara becomes a testament to the belief that anyone, regardless of innate abilities, can achieve greatness through hard work, a positive mindset, and the Power of Youth.

How the Power of Youth Helped Naruto Achieve His Dreams
