Fans have recently seen another amazing ability being introduced in the story, and that is the power of Karma. Of course, it is no surprise to know that the readers wonder as to which of these abilities is stronger, and the answer to that question has finally been provided in this analysis.
What Is The Six Paths Power?
The Overpowered Ability That Was Wielded By Naruto And Sasuke
Six Paths Powers are a special set of abilities that were first introduced in the Naruto series. These powers are godly abilities that stem directly from the Otsutsuki lineage, specifically, Hagoromo Otsutsuki. Hagoromo was known as the Sage of Six Paths and his powers were essentially the Six Paths Powers. Hagoromo’s very own ability stemmed from the Rinnegan, as well as the special chakra that he had inside of himself, which he inherited from his mother, Kaguya Otsutsuki. Eventually, he had children, and they were both strong in their own ways. Indra was the incredibly talented son who possessed the raw talents and ninjutsu abilities of his father.
My name is Hagoromo, and as the founder of Ninshu, I am also known as the Sage of Six Paths!
Meanwhile, Asura possessed the vitality of his father, however, in terms of skill and talent, he was not all that special. Hagoromo would eventually pass down his powers to one of his children, however, it took him quite some time to come to that decision. Eventually, he entrusted Asura with his powers, and essentially, he received tremendous strength from his dad, which manifested as Six Paths Senjutsu.
That is not to say that Indra did not have access to any remnants of Six Paths Powers. Given that he was the direct descendant of Hagoromo, he most likely had Six Paths Powers in himself as well. This is directly hinted at by the fact that Indra could access the Full Body Susanoo without even having an Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan. Furthermore, he could put up an incredible fight against his brother, who inherited the Six Paths Senjutsu from his father.
As the series dug deeper into the Six Paths concept, fans found out many other ways to obtain Six Paths Powers as well. Essentially, obtaining the power of the Rinnegan can itself be called a form of the Six Paths power. The Rinnegan is the eyes of the Six Paths, and every single individual who has this eye essentially has access to Six Paths powers. The Rinnegan has six distinct abilities, each of which constitutes a path of this eye. There is also a seventh path that rules over life and death itself, and that just goes to show how overpowered this eye is.
Throughout the history of Naruto, fans have seen various powerful individuals try to recreate Hagoromo’s powers by Awakening the Rinnegan, and essentially, gaining the Six Paths Powers. For instance, Madara, who partially deciphered the stone tablet, was able to awaken the Rinnegan, and he did so to gain a piece of the power of the Sage of Six Paths, and that is, the Six Paths chakra. Later down the line, Sasuke also gained this incredible power, and he awakened the Rinnegan in his left eye. In his case, however, the power came directly as a gift from the Sage of Six Paths himself.
That said, gaining the eye of the Six Paths is not the only way to gain Six Paths Powers. One can be gifted the power of the Six Paths By the Sage themselves, as was the case with Naruto Uzumaki. Naruto was gifted the power of the Six Paths, and he managed to flawlessly wield this chakra, just as Asura did long ago, through Six Paths Senjutsu. At the same time, any individual who gains the power of the Ten Tails also awakens Six Paths Chakra. As such, the likes of Obito Uchiha, and even Madara, were users of Six Paths powers in a different way.
What Is Karma?
The Resurrection Power Of The Otsutsuki
The Karma is quite a different ability when compared to the Six Paths Powers. Essentially, the karma is a seal that constitutes the genetic material of an Otsutsuki. The Otsutsuki inscribes this seal into a vessel that they choose themselves. The seal then extracts all the genetic data of the Otsutsuki over time, and overwrites the data of the vessel itself. When the process is complete, the Otsutsuki can then resurrect in their vessel, bringing forth their original body. This is a way to maintain immortality, and it is quite an incredible power.
The karma is simply a way for the Otsutsuki to resurrect, and of course, at the same time, grow stronger. This is because the Otsutsuki keep consuming chakra fruits over the years, and with each consumption, they grow stronger. Then, they undergo karmic resurrection again and again, and eventually, the goal for them is to reach godhood, which was only achieved by one Otsutsuki today, and that is Shibai.
When a Karma is inscribed in a vessel, they gain all the abilities of the original user, provided enough of the power has been extracted. It takes some time for the power to mature. But, when the vessel is close to maturity, the Karma starts to grant immense power to the users. For instance, Boruto Uzumaki has the karma of Momoshiki Otsutsuki, and this Karma gives them every ability that Momoshiki has. This is especially true right now, as Boruto’s Karma has matured fully, and he can access tremendous power from at.
Do you understand? In short, Karma is a highly compressed Otsutsuki backup file!
Meanwhile, Kawaki does not have Isshiki’s soul inside, and it exists as a pure weapon. Still, kawaki can access every power that Ishiki had, and, once again it just goes to show how incredible this technique is. Meanwhile, Code is another user of Karma, and his is a special ability that is quite similar to Kawaki in the sense that Isshiki does not reside within him. Instead, he has special powers of the Claw Marks and he gains a tremendous strength boost using his Karma.
Which Power Is Stronger?
Karma Holds Tremendous Powers In Boruto
Naturally, one would wonder as to which power in the Naruto series is the stronger one. The answer to this question depends on various factors. For one, it depends on the strength of the Otsutsuki that grants the Karma to an individual. For instance, Karma from a weak Otsutsuki, such as Kinshiki, would not be strong enough to defeat someone with Six Paths Powers. However, Karma from someone like Isshiki was seen as strong enough to overwhelm Naruto Uzumaki in his Six Paths Sage Mode. The answer to this question depends heavily on the individual who passes on the karma.
That said, the potential for Karma is much higher, given that there are many stronger Otsutsuki in the Naruto series. Six Paths Powers can be immense, and there might be another level to these abilities that the fans have not seen just yet, however, in general, Otsutsuki Karma can be stronger since there are many more powerful Otsutsuki who have matured over the years with the consumption of many chakra fruits.
Boruto is available to read via Viz Media. The series can be read by the fans officially and for free on the Shonen Jump and the Manga Plus app. The release date for the next chapter of Boruto, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 9, is set to be April 20, 2024.
