Made in Abyss: The Golden City of the Scorching Sun (aka Season 2) revealed preview images and a synopsis for the upcoming episode 6. The new episode is titled “The Luring” and it will air on Wednesday, August 10. In last week’s episode, Riko was faced with a difficult choice: save Nanachi and lose one of her body parts or let her stay with Belaf and Mitty forever. Reg is looking for his friends while trying to find out the truth behind his origin.
The official website describes the plot of the upcoming episode as:
Riko tries to save Nanachi, who has sold themselves for value. Riko was asked to pay a price by Belaf: both eyes, both legs or half of her innards. This troubles Riko but she decides to go through with the plan; however, Majikaja stops her in time, saying “No matter what you take, it’s all over.” Nanachi refuses to leave Mitty so Majikaja forces Riko outside. Just then, a protozoan species suddenly attacks the village.

Kinema Citrus is animating the sequel to the anime adaptation of Akihito Tsukushi’s manga. Theme songs for the season include “Katachi” by Azuna Ruko (opening) and “Endless Embrace” by Myth & Roid (ending). HIDIVE is streaming the entirety of the anime series.
