Made in Abyss: The Golden City of the Scorching Sun (aka Season 2) revealed preview images and a synopsis for the upcoming episode 8. The new episode is titled “The Form the Wish Takes” and judging from the events in the previous episode, we are in for another horrifying ride. The episode will air on Wednesday, August 24.
The plot of the episode is described as:
The members of the Ganja Squad are affected by water poisoning and fall ill one after another. Finally, Vueko also falls ill, but recovers after eating the food given to her by Wazukyan. Belaf also recovers, but he deeply regrets having eaten the food and has a mental breakdown. Vueko is upset, but Wazukyan calmly takes her to Irumyuui. What will Vueko see there?

Kinema Citrus is animating the sequel to the anime adaptation of Akihito Tsukushi’s manga. Theme songs for the season include “Katachi” by Azuna Ruko (opening) and “Endless Embrace” by Myth & Roid (ending). HIDIVE is streaming the entirety of the anime series and describes the plot of the second season as:
There is no going back for Riko, Reg, and Nanachi, and the only way forward is to the bottom of the Abyss. However, the three friends weren’t the first to enter the unknown. Whatever happened to all the other explorers who braved the Abyss?
