Initially published on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website, the light novel My Happy Marriage caught the attention of Fujimi L Bunko, who acquired the title in January 2019, complete with illustrations by Tsukiho Tsukioka. Yen Press has taken up the task of licensing the novel in English, providing the following plot description: Born without innate abilities into a noble family renowned for their supernatural powers, Miyo Saimori finds herself ensnared in a life of servitude due to her abusive stepmother. As she reaches the age suitable for marriage, her dreams of a brighter future are dashed upon discovering her intended spouse’s identity: Kiyoka Kudou, a commander rumored to be so cold and callous that his past fiancées all fled within three days of their engagements. Without a refuge to return to, Miyo resigns herself to her fate—only to realize that her soon-to-be husband, fair and striking though he may be, is nothing like the monstrous figure she anticipated. As their hearts gradually open to each other, both come to realize that they might hold the key to each other’s quest for genuine love and happiness.
