Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Trailer Exceeds 30M Views in a Day

The new anime trailer for JUJUTSU KAISEN Season 2 TV anime was released yesterday at the MAPPA STAGE 2023 event, when we combine the official YouTube and Twitter uploads, it already had more than 30 million views in a single day. The new season’s opening theme song, “Ao no Sumika” (Where Our Blue Is), performed by Tatsuya Kitani, was debuted in the trailer. You may see the trailer below, which has received almost 4.4 million views as of this writing on YouTube:

The anime (as part of a stacked Summer 2023 anime season) will run for 2 consecutive cours starting on July 6. It will cover the “Hidden Inventory/Premature Death” arc first, before moving on to the “Shibuya Incident” arc in the second part. The main staff for JUJUTSU KAISEN Season 2 includes:

Takehito Koyasu joined the voice cast as one of the fan-favorite characters Toji Fushiguro, and Anna Nagase joined as Riko Amanai. The main cast is reprising their roles. They include Takahiro Sakurai as Suguru Geto, Yuichi Nakamura as Satoru Gojo, and Aya Endo as Shoko Ieiri. They’ve also released the new character designs for several of the characters.

Studio MAPPA animated both the 24-episode first season and movie for the franchise. Akutami Gege writes and draws the original manga, which is licensed by VIZ Media in English.
