Yuji Itadori is the protagonist of JJK and certainly one of the most powerful characters that the fans have seen in the story. Although Yuji starts as a rather weak individual when compared to the average sorcerer, he gains tremendous strength along the way.
Right now, the series is close to the end, and Yuji has acquired quite a lot of powerful abilities, with many more to come later down the line.
5 Divergent Fist
A Lag In Yuji’s Cursed Technique Output
Divergent Fist is the very first technique that Yuji learns as a sorcerer. This technique is the result of his training with Gojo, where he learns how to control cursed energy properly. It took Yuji quite some time to learn this technique. However, once he mastered it, it let him introduce a lag in his cursed energy output, which makes it so that he delivers two blows instead of one. Yuji thinly veils his fist in cursed energy when launching this attack. Due to his speed being too high, he first makes contact with the enemy, damaging them significantly, and then the cursed energy follows, hitting them again, this time with more intensity.
Divergent Fist is a very powerful technique that, although not the strongest in the series, can deal deadly damage to quite a lot of powerful individuals. In the early parts of JJK, this technique was quite useful and Yuji actually managed to damage quite a lot of individuals with it, such as the likes of mahito. However, as the series continued and stronger enemies emerged, Divergent Fist was not enough to take down stronger enemies, and as a result, Yuji had to come up with new abilities.
4 Black Flash
The Ability To Infuse Cursed Energy In One-Millionth Of A Second
Black Flash is a technique that any sorcerer can use in the world of JJK. However, just because anyone can utilize it does not mean that they can do so. Essentially, Black Flash is a phenomenon that takes place when cursed energy is applied to an attack at the point of impact in 1 millionth of a second. When this happens, a weird distortion in space takes place, and the power of the blow is increased to the power of 2.5.
This is an incredibly powerful technique that allows the user to dish out tremendous damage to the enemies. Black Flash was taught to Yuji Itadori by none other than Aoi Todo. In the battle against Hanami, Yuji used black flash four times. Later down the line, he continued the usage of Black Flash during the fight against Mahito, and of course, in the Shinjuku Showdown arc, he also hit Sukuna with powerful black flashes. Not only do Black Flashes damage the enemy greatly, but they also aid the sorcerer. For instance, after hitting multiple black flashes, Gojo regained his reverse cursed technique. Meanwhile, Sukuna saw a spike in his cursed energy output after hitting black flashes and regained his domain. At the same time, after hitting black flashes, a sorcerer can truly bring out their full potential. In Shibuya, Yuji was able to bring out 120% after hitting powerful black flashes one after the other.
3 Piercing Blood
The Power To Shoot Out Blood
Piercing Blood is an incredibly powerful technique utilized by Yuji Itadori. This technique falls under the Blood Manipulation cursed technique that Yuji gained just before the Shinjuku Showdown arc. It is stated in the story that Yuji ended up eating Death Paintings number 4 to 9, and through that, he gained access to Blood Manipulation. His control over blood manipulation is not great at this point in the story. As mentioned by Choso, Yuji cannot utilize Convergence properly.
Convergence is essentially required for Yuji to hit a Piercing Blood. Right now, he still needs assistance when he wants to use Piercing Blood, however, he can, at the very least, utilize it. In time, he will go on to master blood manipulation, and use piercing blood by himself.
2 Soul Weakening Punches
The Power To Directly Damage Souls
By far, one of the most troublesome abilities of Yuji Itadori in the series is his soul-weakening punches. For some reason, Yuji’s punches are very special. Whenever he hits an individual, he deals soul damage to them, which cannot be healed normally. Almost anything can be healed in Jujutsu Kaisen, thanks to reverse cursed technique. However, Soul Damage is incredibly difficult to heal.
In order for an individual to heal soul damage, they have to be able to see the outline of their soul, which is incredibly difficult, even for the most skilled sorcerers. Yuji’s punches are such that they essentially reduce the cursed energy output of the target, and damage them from the inside out, weakening them tremendously in the face of battle.
1 Shrine
Yuji’s True Cursed Technique
Yuji Itadori ended up Awakening the power of Shrine in the Shinjuku Showdown arc of Jujutsu Kaisen. After he hit a powerful black flash against the King of Curses, Yuji was able to tap into Shrine,
which is the same cursed technique wielded by Sukuna as well. This allows Yuji to snip anything and chop it up. Yuji hasn’t shown what his Shrine is fully capable of at the moment, but with time, he’ll unleash its true power.
