Jujutsu Kaisen is currently in its very final phase and fans are incredibly excited to see how the fight between Yuji Itadori and Sukuna shapes out from hair onwards. Of course, this fight was always destined to happen in the series, given that Yuji is the protagonist and shares a very interesting relationship with Sukuna.

Now that it has finally happened, fans are surprised to see Yuji actually fighting back efficiently, thanks to the limitless potential that he holds inside of him. Much of Yuji’s strength was awakened during his fight against Sukuna itself. However, during the timeskip that came before the beginning of the Shinjuku Showdown, Yuji learned many incredible powers, and most of them have shaped him greatly and prepared him to take on the King of Curses.

Yuji’s Body Swap With Kusakabe

Kusakabe Helped Yuji Learn The Power Of Simple Domain

During the timeskip of JJK, Yuji Itadori knew that he had to get stronger. Of course, if he had to stand any chance against Sukuna, especially close to his full strength, he needed to train much better and that is precisely why those around him decided to help him out. The key player in the attempt to make Yuji stronger was none other than Ui Ui. Fans know this individual to be rather weak, however, his cursed technique is absolutely incredible. With his powers, Yuji was able to swap bodies with anyone up to two times within a single month. Because of that, he could essentially learn techniques by having different individuals inside of his body, who were already proficient in utilizing these abilities.

I’ll hammer into your body my cursed energy, and a foundational barrier technique, the simple domain! – Kusakabe

As fans know, Yuji swapped with Kusakabe first of all, and because of that, this powerful Grade One sorcerer was able to teach Yuji all about the New Shadow style. This was down to the fact that Sukuna’s Malevolent Shrine was going to be a problem later down the line if the chance for battle were to present itself. Of course, as fans know, that is precisely what ended up happening and had Yuji not had access to abilities such as Simple Domain, then, he would have died in battle to Sukuna. Thankfully, because of all the training Yuji underwent with Kusakabe, he was able to learn the power of Simple Domain and he did it quite efficiently. In the recent battle between Yuji and Sukuna, fans saw the protagonist of the series pull out the simple domain in an attempt to counter the Malevolent Shrine that Sukuna created.

While learning a Simple Domain was certainly great, it was not the only ability that Yuji gained during the timeskip of Jujutsu Kaisen. One of the biggest abilities that he attained was the power to utilize a cursed technique. Fans know that Yuji, despite being very powerful, did not possess a cursed technique from the get-go. As such, the author, at some point in the story, had to step in and make sure that he too had access to some incredible ability. Thanks to Choso, Yuji was able to consume Death Paintings number 4 to 9, and this gave him access to a very unique cursed technique in the world of JJK, and that is Blood Manipulation. Fans have already seen the power of Blood Manipulation on many occasions in Jujutsu Kaisen.

Beneath the scattering sparks of black…Itadori Yuji…Awakens

This ability was first showcased by Noritoshi Kamo, and later down the line, other individuals, such as Choso, showcased their skill with this ability as well. The power of Blood Manipulation is absolutely immense and it allows Yuji to manipulate his own blood and utilize it in combat. Furthermore, it also gives Yuju the ability to turn cursed energy into blood itself, which means that he essentially never runs out of blood in battle. Fans already saw Yuji utilize this power greatly in battle against Sukuna. Even though he has some trouble manifesting Convergence and utilizing it properly, Yuji could still perform several blood manipulation techniques and damage Sukuna greatly.

Furthermore, gaining the power of Blood Manipulation also gave Yuji a much-needed boost to learn other techniques, such as reverse cursed technique. Fans know that Reverse Cursed Technique is absolutely essential for one to fight in high-level battles, as it allows an individual to heal from the injuries that they take. Normally, reverse cursed technique is created by multiplying cursed energy against itself, which gives way to positive energy capable of healing. However, he does not need to do that. Yuji can simply convert his caused energy into blood and then heal as a result. Simply put, Yuji’s efficiency with reverse cursed technique is much higher and the consumption of cursed energy is much lower. Utilizing his reverse cursed technique, Yuji was able to heal in battle despite taking some very close-range hits from Sukuna. Clearly, this is one of the most important abilities that he picked up during the timeskip of JJK.

Yuji’s Hidden Power

Yuji Itadori Still Has Other Powers Up His Sleeve

Yuji Itadori also has some other hidden powers that he might have attained during the timeskip of the series. For one, fans should keep in mind that Ui Ui’s technique allows one to swap bodies twice in a month. Fans only know that Yuji swapped bodies with one individual and that is Kusakabe. The second swapping that Yuji had would certainly not have been wasted. There has to be some individual that Yuji swapped his body with and this individual likely helped him with some other aspect of battle. It is unknown at this point in time who this individual was, however, it could be anyone from Choso, all the way to Gojo. Depending on who this person was, Yuji likely has some other trump card up his sleeve as well, which would mean that he could potentially also utilize skills such as Domain Expansion, among other things.

Of course, Yuji also has other abilities up his sleeve that he can use in battle and these are the likes of the Shrine cursed techniques that he utilized in battle recently. This was an ability that he did not pick up during the timeskip, but one that he awakened due to his Black Flashes. Taking all things into consideration, Yuji is easily one of the strongest individuals in the world of JJK right now, and he will continue to get stronger with time.

Malevolent Shrine differs from other domains in that it doesn’t create a separate space using a barrier, akin to an artist painting not on a canvas, but on air. truly, a divine technique.

Fans need to keep a close eye on Yuji in his fight against Sukuna, as he will most certainly showcase why he is on course to becoming the strongest modern sorcerer, and surpass even the King of Curses, Ryomen Sukuna. Given that Jujutsu Kaisen is incredibly close to its end now, it should only be a matter of time before Yuji taps into his true power and unleashes everything that he has in his arsenal to take down his greatest enemy and bring this war to an end.

Jujutsu Kaisen is available to read via Viz Media. The series can be read by the fans officially and for free on the Shonen Jump and the Manga Plus app. The release date for the next chapter of JJK, Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 259, is set to be May 12, 2024.
