The Heian Era holds tremendous importance in the world of Jujutsu Kaisen. It was during this era that the strongest of sorcerers existed and tested their skills against the King of Curses, Sukuna. The strongest of sorcerers existing during the Heian era is no surprise, given that survival back then was much harder, and stronger curses thrived, as a result.
This only bred stronger sorcerers, which meant that the average level of Jujutsu sorcery was much higher. Fans have heard of quite a lot of legends from the Heian Era in JJK, and many of these powerful sorcerers who lived back then are now playing an active role in the story.
6 Yorozu

Yorozu was quite a powerful individual who lived during the Heian era and was deeply in love with Sukuna. She possesses the same cursed technique as Mai, and can construct things with her cursed energy. Only, in her case, this cursed technique is far more incredible and efficient.
Yorozu was seen recently in the Culling Game arc and she certainly played an extensive role there, after incarnating into Tsumiki, Megumi’s sister. When it comes to strength, she was certainly very impressive, as she was even able to fight against Sukuna to some extent.
5 Takako Uro

Known to be a legendary assassin, Takako Uro existed during the Heian era and there, she certainly made her mark. She was reincarnated in the Culling Game Arc of JJK, and, thanks to that, fans got a proper look at what she was capable of.
Using the power of Sky Manipulation, Uro could create problems for even the strongest of sorcerers. Her strength and skill, both are immense, as is her incredible resilience. She wielded Jujutsu sorcery at its very peak, and could even utilize a powerful domain expansion. In her battle against Yuta, she was able to fight immensely well, showcasing enough strength to overwhelm him in combat at certain points.
4 Angel

Angel is certainly one of the most exciting characters that fans have been introduced to in the Culling Game arc. She possesses what can be considered to be one of the most incredible cursed techniques that fans have ever seen.
Using the power of Technique Extinguishment, Angel can simply exterminate any cursed technique, without question. Using the power of Jacob’s Ladder, Angel could even extinguish Sukuna’s very own power, as was seen in the Culling Game arc. Sukuna was only saved because of a cheap plot device used by the author to trick Angel. Jacob’s Ladder is certainly one of the most incredible abilities and while Angel might not be strong in conventional ways, her overall cursed technique is certainly one of the most frightening ones that fans have seen in the story.
3 Uraume

Uraume existed during the Heian era and fans know them to be a very subservient underling of Sukuna. They possess great strength themselves, and are known to be an exceptional user reverse cursed technique. On top of that, their own cursed technique, called Ice Formation, is incredible. As is evident from the name, Uraume makes use of the power of ice manipulation, which can be achieved by supercooling any moisture in the surroundings.
Uraume proved to be strong enough to fight against powerful individuals, such as Hakari, on an equal footing and that just goes to show their level, and that of the sorcerers born during the Heian era.
2 Kenjaku

He existed long ago during the Heian era as well, and it was thanks to his help that Sukuna was able to turn himself into a cursed object. Back then, it is unknown what body Kenjaku was utilizing. However, he was certainly active and was working towards his sinister goals.
When it comes to strength, fans already know Kenjaku to possess amazing power. He has his incredible cursed technique using which he can swap bodies and then gain their memories as well as their powers. In the current era, Kenjaku utilized Suguru’s body with ease and had become one of the strongest curse users.

His level of strength was such that even centuries later, tales about his power were told, and that certainly goes to show what level he had reached in the Heian era. Sukuna died at some point, and before that, he turned himself into a cursed object to transcend time itself.
