Fans were desperately waiting to see what the result of the domain battle between these two was going to be, and it is safe to say that it turned out to be absolutely phenomenal in more ways than one. This domain battle was spectacular, and all the hand-to-hand combat, along with the majestic usage of Cursed Techniques that fans got to witness in it, was truly in a completely different dimension. Now, however, this battle has effectively wrapped up, and fans finally have their answer as to who won this domain clash.
Yuta and Sukuna’s Domain Battle
Yuta And Sukuna Utilized Their Domain Expansion Right From The Get Go
Yuta and Sukuna’s domain clash began in JJK chapter 261. This happened after Yuta emerged on the battlefield, surprising everyone, including the King of Curses. Essentially, at the time, fans thought that this individual was none other than Gojo himself. However, after an excruciatingly long wait, it was essentially confirmed that this person was not Gojo but actually Yuta, making use of Gojo’s body. This was made possible by Yuta copying Sukuna’s cursed technique, after he was eliminated by the young sorcerer. Rika ended up consuming parts of Kenjaku’s body, and his cursed technique eventually became Yuta’s. As fans know, Yuta can copy any cursed technique as long as Rika is fully manifested. As such, Yuta could easily make use of Krnjaku’s cursed technique as well, and take control of Gojo’s body, using which he could essentially take on the King of Curses, Sukuna.
Of course, Yuta taking control of Gojo’s body was still a big surprise for the fans. However, it was something that he had planned right from the beginning. Yuta knew that there was a chance for Gojo to lose this battle. As such, he had all this planned in the back of his head already, and even Gojo knew of them. This is precisely why Yuta swapped bodies with Gojo during the time skip and tried his best to get a hang of his powers. Yuta benefited greatly from this swap, as was seen later in his fight against Sukuna.
Eventually, fans got to see Yuta take on Sukuna in combat, and this was certainly incredibly exciting for all the fans to witness. Even though Yuta was clearly not as good as Gojo at using the power of the Limitless, or the Six Eyes, he was still a force to be reckoned with, and someone that Sukuna respected greatly. This battle between these two monsters was certainly exciting, and eventually, led to a domain clash, where only one victor could arise.
The Shattering Of The Domains
Yuta Destroyed His Own Domain In JJK 263
Yuta and Gojo expanded their domains immediately after they met on the battlefield. It was made clear that Yuta wanted to end the battle with Sukuna inside the domain. His goal was to shrink his domain as much as possible and by doing this, reinforce the outer barrier of his domain. At the same time, he would deal enough damage to Malevolent Shrine from the inside, and by doing that, land Unlimited Void on the King of Curses, permanently incapacitating him and defeating him for good. Meanwhile, Sukuna had a completely different strategy. His plan was to attack the exterior shell of Unlimited Void and break it by shrinking his domain and forming a thin veil around Yuta’s. Then, he would go on to expand his domain fully and destroy everyone around him in one fell swoop. Of course, both of them had flawless strategies, however, only one would come out as the victor. Fans finally got to see this domain battle play out in JJK chapter 263, and it is safe to say that Yuta had the upper hand in this clash. Inside the domain itself, Yuta couldn’t do anything to surprise Sukuna.
In fact, it can be said that Yuta wasn’t even able to utilize the power of Limitless or the Six Eyes properly. No matter what he tried to do, he did not gain the upper hand in battle, and that was truly saddening for the fans to see. However, what Yuta utilized was his brain and using the power of Inumaki’s Cursed Speech, he was able to freeze Sukuna and then launch a powerful Hollow Purple.
The Hollow Purple was uncontrollable, and rather tame, but it ended up shattering Yuta’s own domain as well. At the same time, fans know that Yuta doesn’t possess great control over the Limitless technique, which meant that his Hollow Purple was not strong at all. Sukuna was able to survive this technique, but he did take great damage. He suffered tremendously, as he could no longer make use of his cursed technique. However, what fans know for sure is that Yuta did injure him greatly. The plan was to continue the battle with Yuji and Todo from there onwards, however, that is precisely when he ran out of gas.
Yuta Loses Control Of Gojo’s Body
Yuta’s Luck Is Finally Out In JJK
In JJK chapter 263, it was clear for the fans to see that Yuta could not control Gojo’s body anymore. After Sukuna lost his Cursed Technique, Yuta had the perfect opportunity to end the battle against him. This was down to the fact that Todo was around to make the fight incredibly easy. With his help, he could fire off a perfect Hollow Purple at the King of Curses. However, just when this strategy was taking shape, Yuta ran out of time. Fans know that Yuta had a total of 5 minutes, however, due to exerting too much, the cursed technique wore off before 5 minutes, and Yuta completely collapsed. Now, he’s on death’s door, and fans don’t know what exactly is going to happen to him from here onwards.
The battle was carried out by Yuji and Todo from there onwards, and they did brilliantly against Sukuna. In fact, even Hana was brought to the battlefield, where she utilized Maximum Output Jacob’s Ladder, essentially cleansing Sukuna once and for all. From here onwards, it is highly likely that Yuta will find a way to return to his body. However, how he accomplishes this is still for the fans to see.
As far as the domain battle between Sukuna and Yuta goes, fans know that the King of Curses was not able to win. However, at the same time, Yuta was not able to deliver the final blow either due to a lack of control. In the end, it was Todo who ended up being the MVP as he brought Angel to deliver the final blow to Sukuna, essentially setting the stage for the grand finale of this arc.
