Jujutsu Kaisen recently returned from a break last week, and it certainly upped the intensity greatly in the battle between Yuta, who was occupying the body of Gojo, and Sukuna. JJK chapter 263 made great advances in this regard, as this battle finally came to an end. Now, fans are looking at what could potentially be Sukuna’s demise, and it is going to be incredibly exciting to see in which direction the story goes from here onwards.
Considering the fact that Gege is struggling to continue in Jump, as is evident from the recent health struggles that his editors have talked about, this battle might end sooner than expected, as might the whole manga. Still, fans are incredibly excited for JJK chapter 264, which is now just around the corner.
The Maximum Output Jacob’s Ladder Hits
Angel’s Jacob’s Ladder Could Mark Sukuna’s End
JJK chapter 264 is most definitely going to focus on Angel’s Maximum Output Jacob’s Ladder. This is an incredibly powerful technique that she is going to utilize on Sukuna. On the very last page of the previous chapter, this technique was essentially fired from right above Sukuna. Given that it is a beam of light, it travels incredibly fast and it cannot be avoided at any cost. The scope of this technique is also very wide, and fans can rest assured that it will definitely hit the King of Curses. When it was previously utilized, Sukuna could do absolutely nothing but attempt to trick Angel. This time around, she is not going to fall for the same trick and it is most definitely going to have some serious consequences.
We might need your technique. I want you to be the one who deals the final blow to Sukuna. – Yuta Okkotsu
Yuta has fallen on the battlefield already, which means that the vast majority of this fighting will now be carried out by Yuji and Todo. However, they might not need to do much, and that is simply down to the fact that Angel will have taken care of Sukuna for the most part. As was evident from the previous chapter, Yuta intended for Angel to be the one dealing the final blow to Sukuna. The one who made it possible was none other than Todo. He expanded the range of his technique and swapped a domain shard with Angel, which allowed her to utilize Maximum Output Jacob’s Ladder from right above Sukuna.
This technique can be countered, however, what fans know is that Sukuna cannot make use of his cursed technique right now, as his energy levels are likely way too low. This essentially means that Sukuna has lost the battle for good and he cannot maintain control over Megumi’s body for too long. At the same time, the Dismantles that he has taken from Yuji have also weakened him greatly, and things are going to get even more exciting in the upcoming chapter.
Sukuna’s Defeat
Sukuna Might Finally Fall In JJK 264, But The Battle Isn’t Over
As mentioned earlier, Sukuna’s defeat is something that fans might actually get to see in JJK chapter 264. He has fought very well and he has outlasted the vast majority of the sorcerers. His performance has been nothing short of extraordinary, even though he could have easily lost long ago, but the situations kept being way too convenient for him. However, still, one absolutely cannot deny that Sukuna delivered a very exciting battle before he finally fell on the battlefield. His battle against Yuta was a critical moment for him on the battlefield and A failed to defeat Unlimited Void from the inside. Because of that, Sukuna is now without his cursed technique, and that weakens him greatly.
The true strength of Copy is having two of the same cards in our hands. – Yuta Okkotsu
Now, Angel will have completed the job, which forces Sukuna down to his knees. He was seen throwing up a few of his fingers in the previous chapter, and although he swallowed them back, JJK chapter 264 could essentially see him throw them up once again. In the upcoming chapter, Megumi could have a role to play for the very first time in a long time, and fans absolutely cannot wait to see him in the story again.
It must be remembered that Megumi is an important character after all, and he could still have a role to play in the Final Arc of JJK, despite what fans might believe.
Of course, fans might be confused as to how Megumi can play a role in the battle if Sukuna is going to be defeated in the upcoming chapters. The answer to that lies in one key plot device that Gege used in his story a while ago. This plot device is Kenjaku’s Insurance. Before Kenjaku died, he passed on the insurance to none other than Sukuna. Now, Sukuna holds the key to the merger, and that might yet be triggered in JJK chapter 264, which will essentially kick-start the final part of the Shinjuku Showdown arc.
The Merger Begins
The Merger Could Finally Begin In Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 264
JJK chapter 264 will most definitely focus on Sukuna’s defeat. At this point, his defeat is inevitable and it is going to come sooner or later. However, his defeat does not mean that the battle is over. Sukuna can still trigger the merger, and when he does that, things are going to get a lot more dangerous. Fans don’t know what to expect from the merger. In fact, there can’t even be any predictions. However, what readers know is that this isn’t going to be easy for the sorcerers to deal with. This merger will essentially elevate Sukuna to an entirely different level, where he would cease to exist as himself and become something much greater. How one would go about defeating that is unknown at this point in the story. Of course, it isn’t necessary for him to use it, but given that he does have Kenjaku’s insurance, if the author does not end up using this plot device, then it would be a complete and utter waste. It needs to be used at some point in the Final Saga, and this is the perfect opportunity. As things stand, Sukuna has lost this battle, making it his very first defeat in his entire existence. However, he will now move on to the merger, which would ensure that he still gets the chance to fight and defeat his enemies.
Things are certainly not going to be easy from here onwards, and fans know for sure that the King of Curses still has some exciting plans left for society in general. Things cannot get more exciting in JJK, and as the series edges closer to its end, fans know that the intensity is going to go up, and the battles are going to get only grander.
Unfortunately, fans cannot enjoy the upcoming chapter of JJK anytime soon. The series is going to be on a break next week, which is unfortunate, because it just returned from one. This just goes to show that the author needs quite a lot of rest before he is able to draw properly again, and once again reiterates the fact that he might not be in perfect health, and that the manga might be coming to an end prematurely.
Jujutsu Kaisen is available to read via Viz Media. The series can be read by the fans officially and for free on the Shonen Jump and the Manga Plus app. The release date for the next chapter of JJK, Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 264, is set to be July 28, 2024.
