Jujutsu Kaisen returned this week with chapter 252, and looking at the contents of this incredible chapter, the wait was certainly worth it. Given that the story has now returned from break, JJK chapter 253 is just around the corner, and fans are incredibly excited to see their favorite characters return and deliver some incredible action once again.
With the fight between Maki and Sukuna continuing with great intensity, fans are eagerly waiting in anticipation to see what the story holds next for these two powerful competitors as they go all out against each other. That, and much else is going to be tackled in Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 253, which is now just days away.
Sukuna Goes All Out
JJK chapter 253 will most likely see Sukuna go all out. In the previous chapter, fans got to see Sukuna take on Maki in combat, and although he did hold his own against her, it was clear to see that he was getting utterly dominated by her. Regardless of what aspect of battle these two competed in, Sukuna was the second favorite for everything. His strength was great, however, it was still not enough to overpower Maki. This makes quite a lot of sense, given that Sukuna has been fighting for quite a while, and currently, he’s far from his full power. His cursed energy has been halved, and at the same time, his control over Megumi’s body is weakening as well. Maki, on the other hand, is fully healthy, and as a result, she is clearly and rightly holding the upper hand in this battle.
However, towards the end of the previous chapter, Uraume started talking about how Sukuna has still not gone all out. According to her, Sukuna cannot be underestimated, and even though he has already been injured this much, he still has some tricks up his sleeve that he hasn’t shown just yet. As a result, fans simply do not know what else Sukuna has to offer, and this aspect of the story will most likely be tackled in JJK chapter 253. Fans are eagerly waiting in anticipation to see what exactly Sukuna has in store for them, and how exactly he will overcome Maki.
It must also be noted that Sukuna cannot heal properly from the damage that Maki delivers to him. Maki utilizes the power of the Split Soul Katana, and whatever injury Sukuna receives from her is directly to the soul itself. As such, regular reverse curse technique does not work well enough to heal this damage. To be able to heal soul damage properly, one needs to be able to see the boundaries of the soul. While under normal circumstances, Sukuna could have done it, right now, he is in a weakened state, which means that he cannot heal from the damage he takes from her properly, and at the same time, he has to keep his heart beating manually, which, once again, weakening him even further. Still, Sukuna will have to go all out if he is to stand a chance against Maki.
Maki Vs Sukuna – A Battle Of Physical Prowess
Sukuna versus Maki is going to be a battle of physical prowess. That is exactly how Maki’s fights have been in JJK, and this theme will most likely continue in JJK chapter 253 as well. Maki is a physical monster, and she does not make use of cursed energy in battle. On the other hand, Sukuna does possess cursed energy, however, whatever attack he aims at her can be avoided by her. This is simply down to the fact that Maki can actually see his cursed energy and all his attacks being launched at him. In the previous chapter, Sukuna even used the World Slash at Maki, and despite the fact that this same technique killed Gojo, she was easily able to avoid it.
As such, Sukuna drew a comparison between Maki and Mahoraga, which means that for him, taking her down with regular cursed energy isn’t easy, especially from range. This clearly implies that Sukuna and Maki will have to fight it out using hand-to-hand combat, and in that regard, Maki clearly holds the upper hand. Her physical strength, as well as stamina and speed, are far past that of Sukuna, at least in his weakened form.
If Sukuna is to stand a chance against her, he will have to go all out and bring everything that he has left in store to the surface. That is precisely what Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 253 is going to be about, and this aspect of battle is what fans need to keep in mind while navigating through the upcoming chapters.
Yuji Starts To Heal
Yuji is most likely going to be given some attention in Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 253 as well. He was recently on the receiving end of a powerful attack by Sukuna. As such, Yuji received quite a lot of injuries. Given that he is quite new at the usage of reverse cursed technique, Yuji seems to be having quite a lot of problems while healing. That said, he eventually calmed down and started to heal better in the previous chapter. This aspect of the story is likely going to get some attention in JJK chapter 253 as well. Yuji will most likely continue healing and start getting better, so that he can join the fight against Sukuna along with the Maki. Right now, Yuji should be focusing on spreading blood to every part of his body properly, so that he can heal. In fact, this might be yet another hint at the fact that Yuji has the power of blood manipulation.
Blood Manipulation can help him heal faster, since it can reduce his blood loss, and aid in the healing of wounds, along with much else. This is an incredible technique that, when combined with reverse cursed technique, can greatly aid Yuji’s healing, and ensure that he gets back to full power once again, and rejoins the battle against Sukuna. Yuji is certainly going to be given some attention, and that is essential for the story to move forward, given that at the end of the day, it is highly likely that he is going to be the one to take down the King of Curses.
Of course, there are other aspects of battle that could end up receiving some attention in JJK chapter 253 as well. For instance, Hakari versus Uraume getting some attention in the upcoming chapter, and rightly so, given that the fight against Sukuna is likely going to wrap up within a bunch of chapters. As such, it makes sense for the less important battle to finish first. Fans shouldn’t be all that surprised if the author decides to finish Hakari versus Uraume in Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 253, and then moves forward to the fight between Sukuna and Maki. Regardless of what the author does, JJK chapter 253 is going to deliver some incredible action and fans are very excited to see what developments take place in next week’s chapter.
Jujutsu Kaisen is available to read via Viz Media. The series can be read by the fans officially and for free on the Shonen Jump and the Manga Plus app. The release date for the next chapter of JJK, Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 253, is set to be March 10, 2024.
