The new Fallout TV series from Amazon Prime has landed largely positive reactions from fans. This series is set in the same world as the video games in a version of the future that has been left a barren wasteland after The Great War. The show takes fans on a journey through Vault 33 and a city called Filly.

Many of the show's development team have stated that the Fallout show is canon to the games, though there hasn't been much crossover with canon events or characters in the first season. Instead, the episodes spent much of their runtime introducing and developing new characters to the audience, such as Lucy Maclean, Cooper Howard, and Maximus. However, that doesn't mean that the show cannot introduce fans to some of the great characters from the wasteland in Season 2.

1 The Mechanist

An Idealist With A Fun Backstory

The Fallout games have always done a good job of introducing fans to concepts and ideas that were part of life in this world before the bombs dropped. In fact, the Fallout TV show also followed suit by showing the kids watching a show called Grognak the Barbarian in the first episode. This character is a comic book hero in the world of Fallout, and so too is the heavily armored scientist, known as The Mechanist.

However, The Mechanist who shows up in Fallout 4 is more than just a cartoon character. Instead, the player will run into this colorful character as they seek to find answers about all the robots showing up across the wasteland. The Mechanist is then revealed to be a woman named Isabel Cruz, who took over an abandoned robotics factory and remade some of the machines to try and help bring order to the wasteland. Sadly, her mission fails, but any robots that show up in Season 2 of Fallout could easily be traced back to this quirky character who could be portrayed in a sympathetic plot or could be used as a mad villain.

2 Dog/God

A Mutant With A Split Personality

Fallout: New Vegas is one of the most favored games in the franchise, and that is mostly due to some of its colorful characters. One of these characters is a Super Mutant who has two names to match his two personalities.

Dog/God can be used as a companion in this game and the Super Mutant Nightkin goes by the name of Dog when he is feeling loyal to the player and wants to do good. However, the mutant will turn into a benevolent and power-mad creature called God when that side of his personality arises. Sadly, this split is caused by the fall of the one who created him, The Master. This dynamic is fun and could be great to see on screen against some of the characters viewers have already met in Season 1.

3 Sean

Leader Of A Main Faction In The Wasteland

The main character in Fallout 4 starts the game awakening from a cryogenic sleep with memories of their son, Sean, being kidnapped. The rest of the game follows the plot of the protagonist looking for this child, but they later discover that they awoke fifty years after Sean was taken and that Sean has grown up to become the leader of a powerful scientific faction, known as The Institute.

The institute is a great power in the wasteland, an organization that is hellbent on preserving and furthering science after the Great War. This faction could be used as a villainous presence or even a good place in Fallout Season 2, and seeing someone like Sean in charge as The Father would be a great way to tie events into the story of Fallout 4.

4 Elder Arthur Maxson

Has Been Both A Squire And Leader For The Brotherhood Of Steel

Elder Arthur Maxson is an interesting character in the Fallout games. He can first be found in Fallout 3, and he is nothing more than a young Squire for the Brotherhood of Steel. However, when players finally board the Prydwen in Fallout 4, they will discover that Arthur Maxson has risen to the rank of leader of the entire organization.

The Brotherhood of Steel has already played a big part in the first season of Fallout, with viewers being shown a lot of how the faction works through the eyes of one of the show's main characters, Maximus. Therefore, it wouldn't be out of the ordinary for the show to introduce the leader of the organization in the future. However, the show does not necessarily need to show Arthur Maxson as the leader just yet. Bringing a younger version of the character into the plot would quickly establish a time frame for the events in the series, and fans could even get to see how this Squire eventually rose to the rank of Leader.

5 The Master

A Mad Scientist Who Created A New Form Of Life

Luckily for the developers of the Fallout TV series, the wasteland isn't exactly lacking in villains for the team to adapt to live-action. One of the greatest villains in the franchise is an evil scientist called The Master. This chaotic villain was the main threat in the first Fallout game, and he chose to experiment on those who survived The Great War by exposing them to large doses of radiation to create Super Mutants to take control of the wasteland.

The Super Mutants are a large part of Fallout lore, and their presence was sorely missed in the first season of the show. The origin of these complicated beasts could be interesting to explore in Season 2, which means that The Master should definitely make an appearance. He could be shown in flashbacks, or the current group of heroes in the show could band together to stop the scientist if the writers wanted to break free from the canon of the Fallout video games. Either way, The Master is always an interesting character to include.
