Classroom of the Elite Season 2 released preview images for episode 1 along with the title and synopsis. The first episode of the highly-anticipated sequel is scheduled for July 4. The title of the episode is “You Must Keep Peace of Mind at Tough Times” and the newly released preview images show some of the main characters: Kiyotaka Ayanokoji, Kikyo Kushida, Suzune Horikita, Kakeru Ryuen, Honami Ichinose, and Kei Karuizawa.
Classroom of the Elite Season 2 is a direct sequel to Classroom of the Elite anime which aired from July to September 2017 with a total of 12 episodes. The first episode starts off with the students staying at the luxury cruise ship after their test at the deserted island ended.
Synopsis of the episode is:
After finishing the test on the deserted island, Class 1-D’s students including Kiyotaka Ayanokoji are enjoying their summer break on the luxury cruise ship. But a new special exam interrupts the rest after a short while. Ayanokoji is called into a room where other students like Kei Karuizawa can be seen. He receives an explanation about the test, and it goes beyond the border of classes.

Shogo Kinugasa writes Classroom of the Elite light novel series with art by Shunsaku Tomose. The novel currently consists of two parts, Year 1 and Year 2. Classroom of the Elite Season 2 is covering Year 1. Studio Lerche is animating.
