The latest installment of Tatsuki Fujimoto's Chainsaw Man -- Chapter 135, "Sentimental Drive" -- began with a conversation between Asa and Yoru. The former questioned whether the newly revealed Chainsaw Man on the TV was the real deal, leading the War Devil to tease her and question if she was in love with him. This led to a conflict as Yoru claimed that a war would soon be starting and that she would use the power she gained from it to kill Chainsaw Man. Just as the argument grew, Fami, the Famine Devil, arrived in the apartment.

Fami revealed that both Asa and Yoru could achieve their wishes, with Asa wanting to keep Denji alive and Yoru seeking to kill him. She claimed there were two Chainsaw Men, one Red and the other Black, meaning they could separate their desires and both get what they want. Fami then encouraged Asa to become a volunteer Devil Hunter, which she did, much to the surprise of Denji, who spotted her on TV.

Chainsaw Man Will Return for Season 2

Chainsaw Man is one of the most popular modern animanga properties on the market and a member of the highly influential "Shonen Dark Trio" alongside Hell's Paradise and Jujutsu Kaisen -- which recently returned for Season 2. The CSM series has been in an unstable position in the past few months as Studio MAPPA revealed that the anime performed below their expectations. Despite this, fans were provided good news as it was revealed that the anime had been confirmed for Season 2 and a movie tie-in.

Chainsaw Man Season 1 ended on a cliffhanger as it introduced Reze into the project. Some have claimed that the "Bomb Girl" arc, which follows Reze's introduction, would be the perfect source for this upcoming film. Studio MAPPA's anime is available to watch on Crunchyroll. Neither Season 2 nor the film have an official release date at the time of writing.
