Call of the Night anime is nearing its finale and as a special treat for the fans, a “climax” version of the trailer has been revealed. The trailer features the opening theme song “Daten” by CREEPY NUTS:
Anko Uguisu is a new character who will be joining the series. She is a private detective whose mission is to exterminate vampires as revenge for a traumatic event in her past. Miyuki Sawashiro will be voicing Anko.
Studio Liden Films is animating the Call of the Night anime based on a manga by Kotoyama. The anime is streaming on HIDIVE; the tenth episode aired earlier today. CREEPY NUTS’ songs are used as both the opening and the ending themes. The ending theme, “Yofukashi no Uta“, is what inspired the series’ title. Viz Media publishes the English versions and describes the plot:
“One night, sleepless Yamori slips out of his home to walk the streets of his town. Life after dark is a revelation! Especially when he meets flirtatious Nanakusa… She’s a lot more fun to share the night with than old drunks on park benches. When she invites him to spend the night at her place in an abandoned building, he’s stoked! But then he awakens to kisses on his neck with a little too much bite to them…“
