Call of the Night anime released a preview trailer and images for episode 6 along with the title and synopsis. The episode will be broadcast on August 11 and the title is “You Should Select The More Enjoyable One”, which matches the manga’s 18th chapter compiled in the 2nd volume. The preview images show the two main characters, the protagonist Ko Yamori and vampire Nazuna Nanakusa, and Kiyosumi Shirakawa.

The episode’s synopsis describes the human and the vampire’s new experience at night:

Doing the same thing every day makes you bored! After a thought of something fun, the two decide to join a night pool. While Ko is getting overwhelmed by “the adult world,” Nazuna is getting excited by that she can drink alcoholic beverage there…

I want to keep this feeling,” Ko Yamori begins this week’s preview trailer and continues: “I want to enjoy night.” The young school student shouts, “No, I won’t let you go.“Don’t worry! You won’t die!” and Nazuna Nanakusa calmly adds: “Right. You won’t die.” Ko concludes the preview trailer: “There’s no way I could stop this.” You can check the 18-second long video below:

Kotoyama has been running the Call of the Night series in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday. The series released its twelfth volume on July 15, 2022. The manga was named after Creepy Nuts’ song of the same name, “Yofukashi no Uta” in Japanese. The band is performing both the opening and ending songs titled “Daten” and “Yofukashi no Uta” respectively. LIDENFILMS is animating the adaptation of the manga under Tomoyuki Itamura’s direction.
