What Happens At The End Of Buffy The Vampire Slayer Season 7?
In episode 22 of season 7 of Buffy The Vampire Slayer, “Chosen,” Buffy Summers and her friends battle The First Evil and save Sunnydale. When the episode begins, Buffy kills Caleb (Nathan Fillion) and has a deep, important discussion with Angel (David Boreanez). After Angel moved away from Sunnydale, Buffy moved on, and now, she tells him that if they will ever be together again, it won’t be for a long time. Angel and Spike (James Marsters) envy each other, which adds some extra drama to an already heightened series finale.
While Willow Rosenberg (Alyson Hannigan) became an evil witch earlier on in the TV series, she uses her powers for good in the Buffy The Vampire Slayer series finale. She calls on the scythe to draw strength from Potentials worldwide, which is a big deal since there is supposed to be only one Slayer in each generation. Faith, Buffy, and the Potentials battle the Ubervamps and the Turok-Han army. During the battle, Anya Jenkins (Emma Caulfield) dies, which is one of the saddest Buffy deaths. Besides this tragedy, Buffy and her friends successfully fight the vampires, although a Turok-Han does stab Buffy in the stomach. What Is Buffy The Vampire Slayer Season 7 About?
Seasons 6 and 7 of Buffy The Vampire Slayer aren’t universally beloved, but there are some solid episodes in the final season. In “Help,” Buffy is a Sunnydale High counselor, which allows her to think about her life beyond just being the Slayer. She also supports a teenager who can see the future, including when she’s going to die.
Season 7 leads up to the action-packed series finale. In episode 12, “Potentials,” Spike and Buffy train the Potential Slayers for the battle that they know is coming. In episode 15, “Get It Done,” Buffy researches The First Slayer so she can be prepared. There are also several episodes focusing on Faith Lehane (Elisa Dushku) returning to Sunnydale to help Buffy, which is moving to see considering the tension that used to exist between them. While season 7 of Buffy The Vampire Slayer might not be an overwhelming fan favorite, it does wrap up Buffy’s character arc in a meaningful way.
