Reddit user Motor-Anteater-8965 posted a couple of photos of Downey Jr’s Iron Man and pointed out how his facial hair changes during a scene while he is talking. The scene sees Iron Man talking to Thanos while fighting on planet Titan. Thanos showed how powerful the Infinity Stones are. He uses Power and Space Stone to throw the moon at the planet’s surface. After that particular moment, Stark says, “You throw another moon at me, and I’m gonna lose it.” While looking at both pictures posted by the Reddit user, people noticed a lighter shade of facial hair on Tony Stark.
Other Reddit users didn’t leave any chance to come out with their theories about the error and started a chain of hilarious reactions. Released in 2018, Infinity War ended with a massive cliffhanger and was the penultimate film of Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The film made it clear that Iron Man was meant to save the world from the Mad Titan and perfectly served as a stepping stone for one of the finest battles in cinematic history. A year later, fans saw Iron Man sacrifice himself in Avengers: Endgame to save the world.
Regarding the issue with the facial hair, this is not the first time fans have noticed continuity errors in the MCU. Several people raised questions when Thor (played by Chris Hemsworth) told Rocket Raccoon his age during Infinity War. In the movie, Thor says he’s 1500 years old, but that doesn’t match up because he was a kid during the Battle of Tonsberg in 965 AD. These glaring mistakes don’t change how brilliant Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame were. They were a perfect mix of adventure, drama, and action. Since Avengers: Endgame, fans have wondered if they will ever see Downey Jr. don the Iron Man suit again. Several reports were swirling around claiming the original Avengers stars, including Downey Jr. and Chris Evans, might return to the MCU in a new movie. However, nothing has been confirmed yet. But there’s no doubt fans would love to see Iron Man and Captain America making a stunning comeback in the MCU.
Avengers: Infinity War is available for streaming on Disney Plus.
