  • Levi Ackerman gained immense popularity in the anime community with his charm and combat skills, rivaling even the protagonist Eren Yeager.
  • Hiroshi Kamiya, the voice actor for Levi, also voiced characters like Koyomi Araragi and Saiki Kusuo, showcasing his versatility in anime.
  • Despite sharing the same voice actor, characters like Mephisto Pheles and Trafalgar Law are vastly different from Levi in terms of personality and abilities.

With the airing of the Attack On Titan anime series, Levi Ackerman became immensely popular in the anime community. His charm, flair, and knack for combat are all things that have made him just as popular as the series’ protagonist, Eren Yeager. While Levi might not be the protagonist of Attack On Titan, he has left his mark on the world of anime.

Levi’s voice actor, Hiroshi Kamiya, has voiced many other popular anime characters. Some have similar depictions to Levi, while others are completely different. However, one thing that joins all these characters together is their voice, whether it be heard in the Fate franchise or the One Piece series.

10 Monogatari

Koyomi Araragi

As the protagonist of the Monogatari anime series, Koyomi Araragi is widely known in the anime community. As a character, Koyomi is laid back and doesn’t like to socialize. However, after coming in contact with the vampire, Shinobu Oshino, Koyomi’s life is turned upside down as he becomes a vampire himself.

As a part-vampire, Koyomi begins to have more and more interactions with the supernatural. While he does not have the same acrobatic combat skills as Levi, he is ready to take on his comrades’ problems and help them solve them.

9 Angel Beats!

Yuzuru Otonashi

The protagonist of the Angel Beats! anime series grew up to be a kind individual who cares for others. After the death of his sister, Yuzuru Otonashi took it upon himself to become a doctor and help others. Unfortunately, he died in a train accident and was revived in the Afterlife.

While amnesiac, Otanashi did his best to help others in the Afterlife, even as he tried to recover his memories. While Yuzuru was no Levi in terms of heart and spirit, he and the Scout Regiment squad captain were similar.

8 The Disastrous Life Of Saiki K

Saiki Kusuo

Saiki Kusuo, the protagonist of the anime series bearing his name, is an overpowered psychic. Because his psychic abilities that could potentially destroy the world, Saiki was made to suppress his abilities and keep them hidden. This led to him becoming antisocial, with minimal know-how about interacting with people.

As he is voiced by the same actor as Levi, Saiki and Levi sound similar. However, Saiki’s rate of speech is faster than Levi’s, who speaks in a calm and composed tone. Throughout the series, Saiki doesn’t actually speak, but instead projects his thoughts into the minds of others.

7 Durarara!!

Izaya Orihara

The Durarara!! anime series portrays the adventures of diverse characters in Ikebukuro. Whether it is supernatural beings, underground brokers, or even the mafia, Ikebukuro is never adventure-free. Among the many characters lies Izaya Orihara, one of the major antagonists of the show.

While strong, Izaya is more of a manipulative person who likes to pull the strings from the shadows. As a character, Izaya loves the unpredictability of humans. To fully experience their unpredictability, he starts wars and then watches from the sidelines as both sides duke it out with one another.

6 Blue Exorcist

Mephisto Pheles

Apart from being voiced by the same actor, Levi Ackerman and Mephisto Pheles have little to nothing in common. In comparison to Levi’s ruthless, cold, and methodological approach to things, Mephisto is more of a cunning man who likes to toy with others.

Despite his flair for cunning and playfulness, Mephisto is a powerful demon, ranking only below his father, Satan, and elder brother Lucifer in terms of strength. Like Levi, Mephisto is one of the most powerful characters in Blue Exorcist, and while he might not hold the title of humanity’s strongest soldier, he is certainly not to be underestimated.

5 One Piece

Trafalgar Law

Like Levi Ackerman in Attack on Titan, Hiroshi Kamiya voiced the Worst Generation member, Trafalgar Law. In One Piece, Law serves as one of Luffy’s competitors, as both seek out the One Piece.

Right from his introduction, Law was seen allying with Luffy on various occasions, both in canon and non-canon media, and has developed a fan base of his own, similar to Levi. In terms of combat ability, Law and Levi are both highly rated, as they have power that far surpasses that of the average pirate or Titan in their respective series.

4 Kuroko’s Basketball

Akashi Seijuro

Akashi Seijuro is, without a doubt, one of the big bads in the Kuroko’s Basketball series. Despite his small frame, Akashi led the Generation of Miracles while they were in junior high and managed to bring every one of them under control.

As a basketball player, few can challenge Akashi, as he can accurately measure his teammate’s strengths and weaknesses and, as their captain, bring out their latent potential. Interestingly, Levi and Akashi serve similar roles in their respective series, as Levi was similarly the captain of the Survey Corps.

3 Noragami

Yato

images/news/2024/5/9/attack-on-titan-levi-voice-actor-other-anime_8.jpg

For the most part, the God of Calamity takes on a different persona from Levi. While Levi is often portrayed as stern, disciplined, and a clean freak, Yato is more of a laidback, undisciplined god, who takes things as they come, at least until he needs to get serious.

As a God of Calamity, Yato used to be a mass murderer who executed many. However, after a while, the god decided to leave his life of killing and start anew. While Yato is often portrayed as a run-of-the-mill god, when the going gets tough, Yato can take lives with little hesitation.

2 Bungou Stray Dogs

Edogawa Ranpo

While Levi Ackerman and Edogawa Ranpo play prominent roles in their respective series, they serve different purposes to their respective organizations. In the Attack On Titan series, Levi serves as humanity’s strongest soldier with his gift for combat.

While Ranpo is voiced by Hiroshi Kamiya, who voiced Levi, he serves as more of the brains of the Armed Detective Agency in Bungou Stray Dogs, rather than the brawn. Interestingly, while both characters were voiced by the same voice actor, their speech patterns differ greatly. Ranpo uses a more literary style of speech, while Levi is often direct with his words.

1 Fate Franchise

Shinji Mato

images/news/2024/5/9/attack-on-titan-levi-voice-actor-other-anime_10.jpg

Although sharing the same voice actor, Shinji Mato takes a 180-degree change when compared to Levi. Unlike the calm, charismatic, and powerful Levi Ackerman, Shinji Mato in the Fate franchise is portrayed as more of a bully who wants to have everything go his way but is powerless to make it so.

Shinji was born into the high-class Mato mage family in the Fate franchise, but he always felt inferior to his sister, and ended up bullying her as a result. However, whenever he was encountered someone more powerful than him, the young mage was always incredibly frightened.
