War breaks out between two nations on a terraformed Venus, catching a teenage motorized unicycle team unaware. At the same time, a reporter from Earth is trying to keep up with the team to document the story.

Venus Senki was published in English as The Venus Wars by Dark Horse Comics in comic book format from April 1, 1991 to August 1, 1993, with part one consisting of 14 issues, and part two of 15 issues. Dark Horse also published the first volume in standard tankoubon format on September 1, 1993.
