About Young Ladies Don’t Play Fighting Games

Written and illustrated by Eri Ejima, Young Ladies Don’t Play Fighting Games began serializing in Media Factory’s Monthly Comic Flapper magazine in January 2020. The chapters were collected into five tankōbon volumes. Young Ladies Don’t Play Fighting Games revolves around a school called Kuromi Girls’ Academy, an academic establishment known for its elegance and for producing fine lovely young ladies. It seems to be the perfect place for Aya Mitsuki to transform from an obsessed gamer to a distinguished young lady like the school’s idol Shirayuri. However, Aya unexpectedly discovers the beautiful and elegant Shirayuri’s secret: she’s actually a ruthless trash-talking hardcore gamer. The manga has also inspired an anime adaptation.

The live-action adaptation of Young Ladies Don’t Play Fighting Games premieres on May 19 on Lemino. The fifth volume of the manga releases on May 23.
