Who Needs Love? Chapter 48 will have Mr. Cha take the direct approach and ask the female lead out. It wasn’t too hard to predict. With a title like that, the story was beginning to be generic with just a rebellious name. It is not a new thing, and it gets a fair share of readers thanks to this, but the steam dies soon enough.
However, what this story does differently is introduce the death mechanic, death by love. It is a funny thing to put that kind of condition for falling in love since one of the reasons for love is procreation. As to how this will resolve is going to be an interesting thing to watch, but it will go the removal of the curse through love.
As for how the story puts it, Dohee comes from an eccentric family that can only have family out of a loveless marriage. If they fall in love, they will die a horrible death. We follow the female lead in the modern-day setting where she falls for one of the departments who also has his eyes on her.

Who Needs Love? Chapter 47 saw that the characters are starting to feel chemistry with each other. The female lead realizes that the CEO of the company is stealing and looks at her and just her. Our male lead CEO is a good man at heart, a fact that the story has made clear since the very beginning of the series.
However, he tends to go on a little bad when it comes to the female lead. This is also why she has developed a dream fever for him despite being a witch cursed to be damned for falling in love. However, it could be the lack of examples in her family for falling in love and dying that would have fallen for him anyway.
And if she did have had those in her life, she would have steered clear of all the love problems. But in all the time series has gone by, we haven’t seen her do some magic. This might also be the reason that she doesn’t believe much in those words of the curse that has gone down in her family.

Who Needs Love? Chapter 48 will have Dohee making a critical choice in her life. This decision will be a matter of life and death for her, as the curse will kill her if she falls for the boss. However, the story has yet to make it clear what falling in love entails. Does it have to be mutual? A one-time infatuation gone on for too long or something else?
Perhaps it is the vagueness of the curse (plot device) that makes the story going because a loose magic like that is iffy. And given that it works on feelings, it is also hard to tell when it is serious or not. This might be why the story garners interest: bad things will happen if the female lead falls in love. We just don’t know when that bad thing can happen.
