Ever wonder what Spy x Family’s Damian’s minions and best friends are up to when not at Damian-sama’s side?

Apparently, they spend their free time coming up with dance routines. Uploaded by joxianna’s (JoXianna Aika), their TikTok video shows two cosplayers at Anime Festival Asia 2022 portraying a gender-swapped version of Ewen and Emile dancing to the dulcet tones of Justin Bieber’s “Baby.” The pair hit the beats incredibly accurately, even incorporating an extra-smooth body wave, ending their dance with a cute fist bump and peace sign. Although the anime adaptation never shows what the two of them do in their free time, the video exudes the chaotic energy that makes many fans convinced that this should be canon.

Spy x Family Fans Were Delighted With the Cosplay

Fans found the cosplay endearingly hilarious. After all, Ewen and Emile have yet to see as much love from the cosplay community compared to the other characters from Spy x Family, with Anya being the most cosplayed character by far. Overjoyed fans, excited to see Ewen and Emile, commented, “I thought no one will ever cosplay them.” Emile and Ewen’s dance video has hit over 600,000 views.

As the son of the Chairman of the National Unity Party of Ostania, Damian is highly arrogant and looks down on people he deems below him. Yet, the only attention Damian craves is that of his parents, especially of his father, who seems to ignore him unless he’s proven himself. Although Emile and Ewen are more often than not depicted as Damian’s lackeys, they are also unshakably loyal to him. Unlike Donovan’s love for his son, their friendship is not conditional.

Tatsuya Endo’s mega-hit manga series Spy x Family began its biweekly serialization in Shōnen Jump+ in March 2019. The story follows the ultra-suave and rarely deterred spy Twilight who finds himself at a loss when faced with his latest mission Operation Strix. The mission: create a family with a child and a partner within seven days. The goal: enroll his daughter Anya into Eden Academy and achieve the status of Imperial Scholar, so he can get close to Donovan Desmond, notorious for only appearing at school functions. Unfortunately, that’s much easier said than done. Anya despises studying and isn’t particularly good at academia and sports. To make matters worse, Operation Strix is becoming more like a distant dream when, instead of becoming friends with Damian, Anya punches his face.
