Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke’s Mansion has confirmed its premiere date.

According to the official Twitter account, the romance isekai series will begin streaming on April 10 on various Japanese platforms. For viewers outside of Japan, Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke’s Mansion has found its streaming home on Crunchyroll. Yume Miyamoto (Tomodachi Game and SSSS.Gridman) will voice Rinko Hanasaki (Raeliana McMillan in the original manhwa) and Yūichirō Umehara (Cautious Hero: The Hero Is Overpowered but Overly Cautious and Goblin Slayer) will portray Noah Voltaire Wynknight, Raeliana’s love interest.

Raeliana’s Novel-Jumping Journey

A trailer for the series arrived back in November, introducing Eunha Park, whose life is tragically cut short one night by a mysterious stranger who pushes her off the building. However, she doesn’t quite die and instead wakes up in the body of Raeliana McMillan, a side character from a novel she was reading. Unfortunately, in the original novel, Raeliana’s fiancé ends up killing her. Determined to escape a second death, Raeliana hatches a plan: fake-marry someone much more powerful and influential than her fiancé. However, she may have bitten off more than she can chew after striking up the deal with Noah Wynknight.

Helmed by Typhoon Graphics (One Room and Sengoku Night Blood), Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke’s Mansion will have Junichi Yamamoto (Urusei Yatsura and Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?) directing with Mitsutaka Hirota (Digimon Adventure tri and Edens Zero) as the scriptwriter. Haruna Hashimoto (Jujutsu Kaisen and My Hero Academia) will design the characters while Keiji Inai (The Misfit of Demon King Academy and Star Wars: Visions) will compose the soundtrack. The ending theme song “Always and Forever,” sung by Serra, can be heard playing in the trailer. Other cast members include Shūichirō Umeda, Shunichi Toki, Akira Ishida, Tomokazu Sugita and Yumika Yano.

Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke’s Mansion started as a webnovel written by Milcha in September 2016 before it underwent a manhwa adaptation in KakaoPage a year later with illustrations by Whale. The webnovel consists of three volumes while the manhwa has been collected into seven volumes. Yen Press is licensing the manhwa for a physical release, but fans can read all three seasons digitally via Tappytoon.
