However, beyond these characteristics, there isn’t much more to dissect in Killer’s design. He frequently opts for straightforward attire, typically donning basic shirts and pants.
One notable aspect of his appearance is his long, flowing golden hair. At one point, this feature led to fan theories suggesting a potential connection to Sanji, the Straw Hat crew member. Regrettably, this intriguing possibility never materialized in the story.

While he does have the three black triangle symbols just above his eyes and a cross at his throat, some additional markings could have further enhanced the portrayal of a man who harbors knowledge beyond what he reveals.
Nonetheless, Hawkins’ distinct style, characterized by ruffled shirts and his flowing, waist-length hair, makes him instantly recognizable. However, it’s conceivable that Oda could have pushed the boundaries of his appearance even further to fully encapsulate his enigmatic persona if he had chosen to do so.
10 Jewelry Bonney
Has A Style That’s Recognizable & Fashionable

Bonney remained notably absent from the story for an extended period before gradually reemerging in the narrative, starting from the Reverie Arc. As a result, fans have had the opportunity to see more of her character since then. A charming detail of her design is the tiny lipstick marks placed above and below her mouth, forming the shape of a heart, adding a delightful touch to her look. Although her post-timeskip appearance marked an improvement over her relatively plain pre-timeskip design, it’s fair to say that Bonney’s overall design may not be as captivating when compared to some of the other members of the Worst Generation.

Drake’s true intentions are unveiled later in the storyline, but during his early appearances as a pirate, his attire set him apart from the rest of the crew. Eiichiro Oda’s choice to create a “pirate” character with a more soldier-like appearance served as clever foreshadowing of events to come.
Drake’s design is undeniably memorable, particularly due to the X symbols on his chest and chin. However, he lacks distinctive features that would elevate his overall appearance. Nevertheless, the rare occasions when fans get to witness his full Allosaurus form undeniably showcase his cool and impressive design.
8 Zoro

As the series progresses, Zoro gradually adopts elements of the samurai dress code, often donning a loose robe that remains wide open, revealing the scar that stretches across his chest. The most prominent and striking detail, without a doubt, is the scar that conceals Zoro’s left eye. This scar has been the subject of fan theories and speculation for many years. While he may not be the most stylish among his peers, Eustass Kid undeniably boasts a memorable and distinctive appearance that sets him apart from anyone else in the series.
4 Luffy

Fans are pretty accustomed to Luffy’s appearance after having seen him for hundreds of episodes, but this makes it easy to forget just how captivating the little guy’s design is. The wide eyes, open shirt, and of course, the straw hat, which is permanently resting on his head, give the impression of a plucky adventurer who wants nothing more than to explore the world.
What’s especially great about Luffy’s post-timeskip design is the addition of the X mark on his chest left by Akainu. Behind all the laughs and funny faces, this simple scar shows just how much Luffy has been through, and is a constant reminder of the heartbreak he experienced from losing Ace.
3 Capone Bege
Oozes Style & Luxury With Gold Rings, Trenchcoat, and Cigar

Capone’s gangster-inspired trench coat and top hat almost make him look like a character ripped right out of a different series, but it’s this level of style and fashion sense that makes him so recognizable and different. The golden rings, clean beard, and cigar hanging from his mouth are all very reminiscent of characters in classic gangster movies who try to look threatening without going over the top in their dress code.
This is the same with Capone who is always sporting the most luxurious clothing, no matter what the occasion, which hides his true intentions and powers. It’s an extremely unique design choice by Oda that no other character would be able to pull off without looking ridiculous.
2 Blackbeard

Blackbeard is probably the most “pirate” looking character in the entire series, especially with his missing teeth and pistols tucked into his belt, but while he looked amazing before the time-skip, Oda went the extra mile with his design after the two-year break. Now, Blackbeard sports a fancy fur coat along with a gigantic beard that has been split into sections, just like his inspiration.
He even wears polka-dot pants and a feathered cap, which is a great design choice to demonstrate the carefree nature of a man who has already become absurdly powerful in the One Piece universe. While fans haven’t gotten to see Blackbeard in action too much since the time skip, the glimpses they have been treated to prove that Oda is getting extremely creative with the character’s style and fashion sense this time around.
1 Scratchmen Apoo
The Vibrant & Colorful Aesthetic Perfectly Encapsulates His Personality

Scratchmen Apoo is usually considered to be the clumsiest and most aloof member of the Worst Generation, but what he lacks in strength, he more than makes up for in his design. Apoo’s undying love for music shows in how he looks, not only with his black headphones and shaded sunglasses but also with his teeth, which are black and white to look like piano keys.
It’s the vibrant nature of Apoo that truly makes him a feast for the eyes since no matter where fans look, there will always be something to spot in his appearance. Whether it’s his ornamental robes which are always extremely colorful to showcase his upbeat personality, or even just his extremely long arms that are in reference to his origins, he undoubtedly has one of the most captivating designs in all of One Piece.
