Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint Chapter 173: Recap
The chapter opens up with Yoosung questioning Jihye as to why she considers Dokja ugly. Jihye gets lost in thought because she always said that Dokja is ugly, but she never thought about it too much. She makes up a random answer and defines how Dokja’s face looks weird, and his features seem out of place, but then she starts questioning if that’s the case.
Jihye thinks too hard about this, but she still fails to give a proper answer, so she just says that he’s not her type. Yoosung says that Jihye cried a lot for someone who’s not even her type, but Jihye argues that it was just an act to get coins from the Constellations.
Some Constellations grow wary of Jihye, and so they question her if she’s telling the truth. Suddenly, a notification pops up to remind Jihye that only one minute is remaining before the mana barrier goes down.
Jihye asks Yoosung to carry Gilyoung and run away on her signal. She unsheathes her sword and prepares to fight the monsters after leaving her life in the hands of Yoosung.
Yoosung runs away to find help while Jihye fights all the monsters. Sadly, Jihye turns out to be no match for the monsters of the Dark Castle, and she gets defeated. As Jihye approaches her death, a bright flash of light appears in the sky and slashes down the monsters surrounding her.
Jihye looked at the person who appeared in that flash of light, but she couldn’t make out who he was because her vision got blurry. After trying hard enough, Jihye finally manages to see that it’s none other than Dokja.
She looks at his face and wonders if he always looked this good. Dokja takes Jihye to a safe place, where she gains consciousness after a while. Jihye then asks Dokja if the message earlier was about him, and Dokja nods in agreement.
Jihye looks at the Monster’s corpse lying at a distance and says that it was pretty strong, but it was still no match for a Constellation. Dokja says that he wasn’t using his powers but the powers of borrowed fables.
Dokja obtains “Advanced Demon’s proof” as a reward for killing an aristocrat-level monster; this reward will make the monsters scared of Dokja.
Some Constellations doubt Dokja’s plausibility, which is understandable, seeing how his strength exceeds the scenario balance. Nebula Eden requests Dokja to pay for borrowing their fable “Messiah’s Path,” which he took because of Uriel. Dokja makes the holy cross, which makes Jihye wonder if he has converted.
Jihye’s body starts to ache, and so she looks at Dokja in embarrassment because she looks pitiful for someone who’s ranked 10th in Seoul. Dokja reassures her that she will never suffer like this again, and then he fixes her bones. Jihye screams in pain, but it’s for her good, so she bears with it.
Dokja thinks that he should use Ellaine Forest’s Essence on Jihye, but then he realizes that he left all his things with Sooyoung before he died. He decides to use the Dokkaebi bundle to get the medicine.
Yoosung arrives after a while, and she starts crying after seeing Dokja. She hugs him and says that he is a whole week late, which makes him realize that this is later than he originally planned to resurrect.
