Sasuke Uchiha has always been one of the most skilled ninjas in Naruto, and by the end of the series, his strength was on par with Otsutsuki’s. Thanks to his mastery of the Sharingan, Sasuke can read his enemy’s movements, and as the series progressed, he gained the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan and the Rinnegan, which gave him access to abilities that allowed him to fight and beat some of Naruto‘s strongest characters.
Sasuke excels at Fire and Lightning Release, and he can burn anything with his Amaterasu. With his Rinnegan, he can instantly swap places with two targets, he can absorb ninjutsu, and can forcibly attract others. His perfect Susanoo protects him from attacks, and its sword can alter landscapes. That being said, there are still a handful of ninjas who can theoretically beat him.
10 Itachi Uchiha
There is no doubt that Itachi’s best fight was against Sasuke. That fight ended with Itachi’s death, but that does not mean that Sasuke beat him. For starters, Itachi was not trying to win, and his death was ultimately the result of an incurable disease.
Sasuke can deal with Itachi’s Tsukiyomi, and his mastery of the Amaterasu surpasses his older brother’s. If Itachi were to fight seriously, his Susanoo would be the deciding factor. It wields the Yata Mirror, an ethereal shield that can negate any attack, and the Totsuka Blade, which can pierce anything and trap it inside a dream world. With these items, Itachi’s Susanoo is considered invincible.
9 Hashirama Senju
It is true that Hashirama’s biggest failure was his inability to save Madara, but he was able to beat the legendary Uchiha at the Valley of the End. Hashirama died decades ago, but he is still regarded as a ninja god who could heal himself without using hand signs.
Hashirama could use Sage Mode, which helps to fight against Sasuke’s Rinnegan, and his Wood Release can produce pollen that would knock Sasuke unconscious. Wood Release also allows Hashirama to drain an enemy’s chakra. With Sage Art Wood Release: True Several Thousand Hands, Hashirama summons a titanic multi-armed statue that can easily overpower Sasuke’s Perfect Susanoo.
8 Mu
Mu was the Stone Village’s 2nd Tsuchikage, and he was able to use the Atomic Dismantling Justu. This jutsu is a byproduct of Dust Release, and it allows Mu to create three-dimensional objects that can be fired at high speeds. Once it reaches its target, it rapidly expands, and anything caught inside gets disintegrated.
If Sasuke had not been saved by Obito at the last second, this jutsu would have ended him at the Five Kage Summit. What makes Mu even more dangerous is the fact that he has the innate ability to completely hide his presence, including his chakra signature, which means that Sasuke would not be able to react in time.
7 3rd Raikage
The 3rd Raikage is considered to be the strongest ninja in the Cloud Village’s history, as evidenced by the fact that he could fight a rampaging 8-Tails on equal ground. He was also able to fight an army of 10,000 enemy ninjas for several days, singlehandedly.
With Lightning Release Chakra Mode, the Raikage’s physical attributes are significantly enhanced to the point that he can dodge Sasuke’s Amaterasu. When the Raikage focuses his chakra into one finger, he creates the ultimate spear, which is capable of penetrating a Susanoo‘s armor.
6 Shisui Uchiha
Some considered Shisui to be the most skilled Uchiha of his generation, and he mastered the Body Flicker Technique to the point that he would leave no trace of his presence. His velocity and mobility were so great that no one could identify where he would reappear.
In a real fight, Sasuke has an edge, but Shisui possesses the Kotoamatsukami. Shisui gained this powerful genjutsu when he awakened his Mangekyo Sharingan, and it is a subtle form of mind control. If Shisui uses this genjutsu, he can make Sasuke surrender, or force him into a trap, and from Sasuke’s perspective, these actions would be the result of his own free will.
5 Might Guy
Might Guy does not have much skill when it comes to genjutsu and ninjutsu, but no one can deny his taijutsu mastery. Over the course of his training, he gained the ability to open all Eight Inner Gates, and if he opens them all, he briefly becomes more powerful than the Five Kage.
Guy used this ability against Madara during the 4th Great Ninja War, and he nearly killed the legendary Uchiha. Madara only survived because he was the Jinchuriki of the 10-Tails and had godly regeneration. Sasuke does not possess such regeneration, so he would not be able to survive Guy’s strongest attack.
4 Minato Namikaze
Minato was known as the “Yellow Flash of the Leaf,” and he earned that nickname because of his mastery of the Flying Thunder God Technique. Thanks to this technique, he was considered the fastest ninja alive, and other nations ordered their forces to retreat if he appeared on the battlefield.
Minato throws specialized kunai across the battlefield, and he can instantly teleport to any of these kunai because they have the jutsu formula written on them. Even with his visual prowess, Sasuke would not be able to keep up with his movements. If Minato places the formula on Sasuke, he can teleport to him at any time, and even the Susanoo cannot stop that.
3 Pain
Many Naruto fans consider Pain to be the villain, which is understandable given his backstory and power. Like Sasuke, he possessed the Rinnegan, but his mastery was superior. Sasuke has only used a teleportation technique and some of the Deva Path’s abilities.
Pain and his six bodies could summon an army of creatures, absorb ninjutsu, and one could pull out the souls of other individuals. Another body could fully heal other bodies, and another could produce actual ballistic missiles that can injure a Susanoo. Almighty Push is the Rinnegan’s pinnacle ability, and Pain used it to destroy the Leaf Village.
2 Madara Uchiha
Madara Uchiha is a legendary ninja with immense skill and chakra, and during the 4th Great Ninja War, he proved to be stronger than Sasuke. He possesses far more battle experience, and his Fire-Style ninjutsu was powerful enough to bathe an entire battlefield in fire.
Madara had an understanding of every known Mangekyo Sharingan ability, and he knew how to use the Rinnegan because he was the one who gave the eyes to Pain. If Naruto were not present during the war, Madara could have used Limbo to defeat Sasuke since he does not use Sage Mode.
1 Naruto Uzumaki
Naruto and Sasuke have been friends and rivals for years, and they fought one last time at the Valley of the End after the war. Sasuke admitted defeat, but the fight technically ended in a draw. In the years since, they have both grown in skill and power, but Naruto has always had the edge.
Naruto‘s Sage Mode and Tailed Beast transformation allow him to fight Sasuke on equal footing, but if Naruto used Baryon Mode, the fight would end in seconds. This mode consumes Kurama’s chakra until his life force runs out, and it grants Naruto inconceivable strength and speed which allowed him to dominate a God-like being like Isshiki Otsutsuki.
