JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Cosplay Sees Jolyne Step Right Out the Anime

Jolyne Cujoh strikes a pose in this epic JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean cosplay.

The cosplayer Dryoma recently shared her take on JoJo’s Part 6 protagonist via Instagram. She uploaded an image of herself in the character’s iconic costume inside a hotel corridor. While dressed as Jolyne, she channels the spirit of the devilish Dio Brando as she performs the character’s infamous back-breaking “Wry” pose. This feat is particularly impressive as the cosplayer sports a pair of platform heels.

The JoJo Cosplayer’s Attention to Detail

Dryoma’s cosplay provides an anime-accurate costume, as all details of Jolyne’s look are accounted for. She wears a brightened blue version of the character’s spider-webbed print armless jumpsuit, with her midsection exposed. Sitting on her chest is the image of butterfly wings with a downward-pointing dagger shaped into a heart. These details fully capture the costume; however, the cosplayer goes even further by accurately depicting Jolyne’s look through makeup and hair also.

She wears her hair in two colors, black with bleach blonde highlights. The style of this hair is also accurate, featuring a plaited ponytail and two buns atop her head. In addition to the pitch-perfect hair, she captures the character’s painted fingernails, prominently displayed thanks to the pose, and chartreuse lipstick, channeling her avant-garde color scheme. Finally, she adds makeup to her nose to style it like Jolyne’s. Each detail comes together to complete the stylish look, which Dryoma has performed before, as pictured below.

JoJo Fans Showed Love For the Cosplay

The comments on the post featured a ton of appreciation for her costume and energy. Users quickly praised the cosplay, filling the replies with words such as “cool,” “nice” and more. Some even channeled JoJo into their writing as they left the note “Yare yare” on the post referencing Jorato Kujo’s catchphrase.

Jolyne is the leading character in Part 6 of the iconic animanga written by Hirohiko Araki. She is the daughter of Jotaro Kujo, the protagonist of Part 3: Stardust Crusaders. The story of Stone Ocean follows her after she is framed for murder and imprisoned in Green Dolphin Street Prison. There, she develops her stand, Stone Free, and attempts to break free from confinement while also surviving the onslaught of the evil Pucci, a disciple of Dio. She is a highly popular JoJo’s figure known for her spirited energy, clever thinking, and high position as the only female protagonist in the series as of yet.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is available to watch on Netflix and Crunchyroll.
