Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation Fan Warns Others of Deceptive Amazon Scam

Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation readers, beware: a scammer is in the fandom’s midst.

According to bond (@/headBONDmeLWJ), an inauthentic version of Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation: Mo Dao Zu Shi Special Edition Vol. 5 is circulating on Amazon. The Amazon link takes fans to the cover of the final volume of the danmei series Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation: Mo Dao Zu Shi, but instead of Mo Xiang Tong Xiu, “daisy rahman” is identified as the author. The true version of the book should feature more than just Mo Xiang Tong Xiu and Marina Privalova as illustrators and Jin Fang as contributors. The fan pleaded with others to double-check the details before making a purchase.

Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation now is AVALAIBLE on MangaMonster!

Set in the xianxia world, a Chinese fantasy genre influenced by Taoism and Chinese martial arts where individuals cultivate into immortality, Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation: Mo Dao Zu Shi follows a disgraced cultivator named Wei Wuxian who attracts fear and hatred wherever he goes due to his decision to embark on the path of demonic cultivation, despite once being one of the most respected cultivators of his generation. Cultivators celebrate his death when he gets killed in battle. Thirteen years later, Wei Wuxian awakens in the body of a man who sacrificed himself to exact revenge on his family. Although he’s now given a second chance in life, Wei Wuxian no longer has any interest in the politics of the cultivation world and wishes to live in peace. However, his first life catches up to him when he reunites with Lan Wangji, the stoic and righteous cultivator with whom he once fiercely butted heads.

Mo Dao Zu Shi, the second book of Mo Xiang Tong Xiu, Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation, appeared on The New York Times Bestseller List for Paperback Trade Fiction in ninth place. Many fans joined in as translators and artists for the official English releases of Mo Dao Zu Shi, which saw significant fan participation. The Untamed, a live-action adaptation of The Danmei, underwent a creative revamp as a result of China’s restriction on LGBTQ+ portrayals in media. The donghua adaptation of The Danmei ran for three seasons.

Vol. 5 of Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation: Mo Dao Zu Shi releases on May 2.
