Golden Mage: Series Recap

In the previous chapter of Golden Mage, Ell sends his stone golems to fight against the Manticore King, whom he had come to subjugate in order to make the village a safe space for the villagers. The Manticore King is quick on his feet and attacks the golems one after the other, tearing them apart before Ell can even react.

Ell acknowledges the Manticore King’s strength and decides to use something even more powerful to achieve his goal. Ell knows that the Manticore King cannot be taken down easily, but he is attacked by the creature out of nowhere.

Ell had used a phantom figure just in case, and the Manticore King had jumped on that phantom being instead of him. Ell summoned Tana, who appeared in front of the Manticore King, and Ell commanded Tana to let go of his sword and use Plan B.

Tana and Manticore King begin to fight, and Manticore King is just as quick as before. The Manticore King avoids Tana’s attacks and even attacks back again and again, but Ell has a plan. Tana uses a very strong attack, and the Manticore King is knocked down while Tana rushes and jumps at him.

Tana is about to fatally attack the Manticore King when Ell asks him to withdraw since killing the Manticore King is not necessary. The Manticore King acknowledges Ell’s strength, and he begins acting close and domesticated, following Ell wherever he goes.

Back in the village, everyone is scared and surprised to see the Manticore King following Ell, and they ask him about it. They tell Ell that the Manticore King has the power equivalent to a semi-grandmaster mage, and he can also command other Manticores. Ell promises the villagers to build a safe space for them to live in soon.
